A
UNBELIEVEABLE. I bought my my first computer (M-102) 9 months ago, joined
club 100 last Oct., sent my first "E-mail" last month, and yesterday, for the
first time I scan the conference and here is an ongoing series of letters on
bar code stuff and an open letter to me!

I installed an XR4 in my M-102 in March and "CO" programs are best kept
cleared from himem. This program loads, runs and finally clears "B3OF9.CO". I
wrote this to find out if my wand actually worked.

  10 CLEAR0,MAXRAM
  11 CLEAR256,61788
  12 LOADM"B3OF9.CO"
  13 RUNM"B3OF9.CO"
  14 OPEN"WAND:"FORINPUTAS#1
  15 CLS:PRINT"READY TO SCAN"
  16 FORI=1TO6:INPUT#1,A$:PRINTA$:NEXTI
  17 PRINT"MORE y/N";:INPUTB$:IFB$="N"ORB$="n"GOTO19
  18 GOTO15
  19 CLOSE:CALL61807:CLEAR256,MAXRAM:MAXFILES=1:MENU

After inputting 6 times a prompt for More appears any answer except "n"
resets to scan again. "N" or "n" closes the wand, clears himem, sets maxfiles,
and returns to Menu. The call is a mystery to me but Tandy says it is
important.

Anyhow this is probably more than enough for now. Thank-you all and I will
read in here more often.
