Hi, Rick. I am enjoying both Model 100s I've purchased from you. I find the
TS-DOS in ROM to be a very handy tool, even when I'm not going to use the PDD.
It makes file management pretty nice. I'm thinking of putting the ROM image of
TS-DOS into XR4 for that reason. That's a pretty good little deal. I guess
the technology wasn't there to put all that RAM into the Model 100 when it
first came out, but we can do it now. I've pretty well mastered the using of
XR4 as 4 RAM banks, but now I'll have to read the directions on loading a ROM
image and go ahead with that. I may put Multiplan into one of the other banks
and have two banks as RAM banks. It will be nice to have 2 ROMs without
increasing the size of the computer. LAPDOS continues to be a very handy
utility. I've had to use it with floppies since I went to 286 machines. I'm
glad I read your discussions about not using it with the bigger, faster hard
drives (and by today's standards, the "faster" hard drives on my 286's are
pretty slow and puny), or I'd have been one frustrated Joe. I found Traveling
Software's LAPLINK 3 also gave me trouble with hard drive to hard drive
communications after I started using the 286's, so I had to go back to LAPLINK
1 to keep things from locking up, and even then I got periodic lockups. Now I
use DESKLINK with Norton Desktop and it works flawlessly.

Anyway, I continue to enjoy M100 computing and I like what I have.

TTYL.
