Dear Rick,
  123 for the Mac has a very nice interface.  I think if I were using it for
business, I'd be very impressed.  But as a tool for scientific analyses it bogs
down.  The files are too large, and it takes too much time to update all the
windows from scratch each time they are redrawn.  Other people had other nit
pic complaints.  But I think that Lotus has finally gotten a good product
together for the Mac, for the business market, but it's not for everybody.  But
$49?  If it is going to become "shelfware" I'd just as soon send it back or
sell it to someone who can make use of it.  I'm going to load it onto my wife's
SE at here workplace.  She is in a PC-dominated office, where people who do
spreadsheets do 123.  So she might like it for that and for the kinds of things
she does.  She usually uses relatively small sheets.
  The next BMUG meeting I have marked is May 8th.  T/maker is going to be
showing off WriteNow 3.0.
