An interesting proposal, i.e., mateing three types of telcom devices onto one
cable. The idea merrits discussion.

On first impression I'd have to say that a cable having all three connectors
(modular, accoustic cups, and clips) would be a bit much to handle. However,
since the cable I manufacture ends in a male modular plug, I'd suggest adapting
a female modular plug to both the accoustic cups and clips. This would allow
you to mate the two devices to the end of the existing cable. Your savings
would be minimal. All you're doing is exchanging female modular connectors for
phone DINs. No gain!

A better idea would be to adapt phone DINs to both the accoustic cups--which
already comes with the correct DIN--and the clips. So, in fact, adapting the
clips is the only thing you really need to do--and I can supply the DIN since I
buy them by the hundreds.

That's my best shot for a late night response.

I'm tired... talk to you later... -Rick-
