Thanks again for that extensive reply, Ron. I'll have to admit much of that is over my head, although I have indeed been studying it. What I tried first was a deliberate cold start, Ctrl-Break + hitting the reset button, thinking this might clear out those RAM areas you mentioned. But nope, that didn't do it. If anything, the pattern seemed a little denser! There's another factor I didn't tell you about: I don't get these pixels when powering up within a minute or two of a powerdown. I only get them after the power has been off more than a couple of minutes. Does this information add anything to your analysis? Once again, thanks for your time in what may be a no-problem!
