WHEW!

Talk about work. Since installing the TS-DOS Version 4 I've cold started
three times playing around with this thing.

However, crisis is a real teacher, and I've learned (forced almost) by using
the Tandy manual, some things that are probally second nature to most of you:

1.Converting a .BAsic program to a .DO text file...(for uploading to the
BBS or another computer)...
Load the .BA from BASIC press F3 and SAVE"FILENAME",A <ENTER>. The .BA
program still exists and now there is also a .DO file. (Much easier than
Editing, Copying, Pasting)

   2. Using the RS-232 cable and null modem (for transmission between model
T's...I used 57E1E,10... VERY FAST..if you have only been on-line with the
direct connect modum cable you can't imagine!).

   3. Transfer of files between model T's using the phone. Again only 300 baud
but still a cool thing to try if you have never done it. Manually entering the
"terminal" mode by pressing the F4 key while in "TELCOM" brings up the same
lable line that you see on-line (I thought the host computer generated that)

  Now for the questions:

1.Is the null modem REQUIRED for the RS-232 cable when connecting two model
T's? (I have it, so I blindly followed directions)

2.Can the computers be set to terminal mode if the phone lines where first
used for voice tranmission? (In other words if my sales girl calls me to say
that she has her sales file ready can I tell her what to do and simlpy enter
terminal modes and transmit or must we hang up and let the computers establish
the call?)

   Well that's it for now,
