Subj: REPLY TO MSG #4980 (JUMPERS?)

----
Peter: There are no "slide-on" jumpers for the RAM/ROM sockets on the
"Just-RAM" Booster Paks. I mentioned this in the (N)ewsletter #3 file
regarding the "Just-RAM" Booster Paks. However, like I said in that file, you
will note a "soldered" jumper above each of the RAM/ROM sockets. This
soldered-jumper covers the left two pins (AKA RAM socket). If you unsolder
this jumper and resolder it covering the right two pins, you may use that
socket for a ROM (AKA ROM socket). Furthermore, the Just-RAM Booster Paks do
not have Molex connectors--found at the far left of the two, RAM/ROM rows. The
pins are there but not the sockets. Molex connectors may be added but most
folks don't use the Molex connectors, anyway.

You "will" find one slide-on type jumper on the second socket from the right,
lower row. This is for the #2 system ROM. Don't touch this ROM or jumper.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
