Subj: REPLY TO MSG #4485 (TERMINAL EMULATION AND THE MODEL)
OK guys. I enjoyed your dialogue but it isn't what I need. According to the Procomm Plus user's manual, the VT100/102 and Wyse75 are the same; the VT220/320 and Televideo 922 are the same; but the rest of the Televideo 900 series is different. Robert, I asked you for suggestions for code to interpret the Televideo escape sequences some time ago. As the Guru of Model T, I assume you are the ultimate source; but you couldn't help me. I didn't go away mad but maybe a little pouty (sp?) I would still offer you my first born for assistance with this matter......come to think of it, you can have him anyway. Want to raise a 19 year old boy for me ? Please ? Rick, Note the first paragraph. I tried VTEMUL without success. I looked back at PC+ and discovered that the Televideo 950 is the terminal that works with the device I want to service. It's not critical since I can use a company supplied terninal for the job but I think it would be a nice use for the Model T. I have already written some clumsy code to use the Model T as a data entry terminal for Time Tracking, Customer Service Reports, Battery Service Data, and a translation table to service another product that we sell. Both, Thanks for the interest. Having just discovered the Model T in the last year, I'm delighted with it. (double grin for both of you) Sincerley, Rick Hendrix
