Hello Richard and company. So sorry to hear of the end to the monthly meetings
but am glad that the bbs is going to survive. I feel this way because even
though I now haved other computers at my disposal my affection for my 102 has
not diminished in fact it has grown. To the point... You note in the lapdos
manuel that it does not work well with in the windows environment esp. with
"TSRs, communications and windows " running in the back ground. I concur with
that assesment but would like to know if it would be possable to run lapdos if
I were to run it separate from my windows environment using an autoexec.bat
file to go to ether lapdos in a clean environment or windows on start up? I
have a TI 4000 25hz 486 portable that is proving to be a wonderful tool but it
is not the "knock about" that my 102 is and in most cases, for now I dont need
all the features that it has for road work; my 102 is all that
I need and certainly less of a risk to take on the road. This is true both in
terms of replacement and repair costs. At any rate I have been able to make the
connection and move files around but I am unable to make the connection now for
some reason and repeat my initial sucess. Got an autoexec.bat that might work
for my purposes? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? I am haveing the same
problem with both the 102 and the TPDD, 100k. Any and all advice would be
appreciated. Yours Truly John Ingham of Pleasant Hill Shire
