The early drives (TPDD) came with a boot disk. It "was" common practice--back
in the old days--to make a tape backup of the FLOPPY.CO program. It was "a lot
easier" to reload FLOPPY.CO from tape then to go through the "pain" of
cold-boothing the DOS from the boot disk via the pin-switching and IPL.BA
program listed in the manual. A "lot" eaiser.
