Subj: REPLY TO MSG #2487 (BOOSTER PAK INTERNAL MODEM)
I would like to get an internal modem for the Booster Pac. First, I want to buy a Booster Pac! I have a Model 100 computer, and own one ROM (ROM2/CLeuseau--Programmer's) and want to get the maximum RAM available for the Booster Pac that would still leave room for my ROM2/Cleuseau. I have a spare Part AX-2603816, Model 26-3816 which I purchased before I realized that I couldn't use it--I now believe that I received (free!) a full complement of RAM when a coworker gifted me with his computer. (He had purchased a DOS machine, and he saw me working on my Pocket Computer.) I will be sending in a check to Club 100 as soon as I know what I need to buy.... The catalog indicates that one could "Convert Tandy ROMs" for $35 each. Reading the message base didn't enlighten me as to what conversion was necessary--I thought one merely inserts the ROM into a slot on the Booster Pac. Currently, the Booster Pac is sold with 256K of RAM. How many 32K RAM additions would be needed to fill the Booster Pac? If anybody could answer my questions, I shall be appreciative. :)
