---- Brent: Actually, tape is not so bad if you have the right tape player/recorder and use the correct tape. My favorite tape player/recorder is the CCR-82, not the 81. The CCR-82 is actually quite reliable cuase of its built in program mode, i.e., set the dial on "P" for program. This enables the square wave circuits. The best tape to use is the cheap stuff--without dolby--and don't use high bias, or metal tape. In all those cases, it's very dificult to maintain a square wave single; necessary for digital storage. Here's a savings idea. Save just $10 per week and you will have a TPDD or TPDD2 within 10 to 15 weeks tops. Savings is easy if you take it slow. Also, I will make a note in your file and see if I can't turn up a deal for you on a TPDD and TS-DOS combination. Hope this helps... -Rick-
