----- Frank: You are not the only one asking about the future of Club 100 in light of Tandy's decision to discontinue the 102 and WP-2. Every other call, e-mail and fax coming into my office asks the same question. Here is my OFFICIAL answer: Club 100 is a user group supported by sales activities. The balance is 70% user group supported by 30% sales. Our biggest monthly overhead expenses are magazine advertising, telephone, and catalog marketing recapture. If anything is left over I keep it as income. Sometimes there's extra and sometimes there is no extra left over at the end of the month. 1990 was extellent, 1991 was breakeven, and thus far 1992 is okay. If sales drop to minimal levels, wherein magazine advertising and phone support costs are more than income than those functions will stop. However, BBS and fax support, and occational mailed promotional materials will continue for several years. And, when sales income totally stops, the BBS will continue to function. Furthermore, all in-house manufactured goods will remain available for years to come. Bottom line: Don't panic! Club 100 is here as long as I am here. For all intense and purposes, when I die the club will die. Until such time all is well in Model 100 Land. -Rick-
