Hi Rick...

Much to my surprise, I got my BP up and running with my DeskLink with very
little trouble. I had to use the /2 switch, but that was fairly easy to
figure out. Now with a Booster Pack and DeskLink, I am ready to start putting
my little Tandy to use, I think.

My only problem is while I have been putting the M-100 system together, I
have also gotten an HP200LX. That machine is SO kewl. The only thing in the
Tandy's favor is that it has a much bigger (and nicer) keyboard. But there
certainly is something to be said for that.

I think I need maybe one more thing, that being the UR II. A while back,
some guy (I don't even remember who it was, but I know it wasn't you) E-mailed
me a bunch of Tandy Model 100 software. He included something called T-WORD
or something like that, which I guess is the word processor that is either on
UR II or the Sardine or whatever ROM chip it is on. However, it came with no
docs and doesn't really seem to work. It also doesn't do the 60/80 column
mode. So I think I'd be better off with the chip.

Now, if I remember my BP correctly, I can install the UR II directly in the
BP, but I would need to remove a RAM chip in order to do that, yes? How can I
tell if I have any data stored on that particular chip, and if so, what it is?

Are you even selling the UR II these days? What is the current asking
price?

Finally, I am not sure if you ever got around to reading that autographed
book I sent you. But if you did, and if you liked it, there is another book
out now that I wrote which is a sequel. If you are interested, I can give you
the details.

Hope to hear from you soon. I will have to check the libraries (especially
the new uploads) for software now that DeskLink is up and running... :)
