David: I believe that the bubble memory (aka: storage) is just one big RAM disk, or storage area were you must save to and retrieve from, just like any other storage. There may be one exception in that it might be possible to save to and retrieve from the bubble memory from within TEXT and/or BASIC. This is the case with TS-DOS and the TPDD/TPDD2. This feature allows one to develop database-like operations in a sequential or random file--sequential is the one usually supported. The only random file operation I am familure with was available with TS-RANDOM to a TPDD (Tandy Portable Disk Drive 100K, not the TPDD2, 200K model). With this in mind, call Computer Reset and ask them about the bubble memory. Ask exactly how it works. Ask someone to walk you through an example... over the phone, of course. Then, you will know. Then, you will have a basis onwhich to base decisions of use and application. -Rick-
