This is easy. Just buy the serial port for the Portfolio. Atari gouges for
this, around $60. I found one discounted at Good Guys Stereo here in the SF
area. Then get a null modem cable or order one from Rick here. He has ones
specifically for the Model 100. The Portfolio behaves like an IBM so read the
chapter at the end of your owner's manual on loading files to an IBM (the Model
100 manual, that is) or see David Lien's book. If you don't have either, I
suppose I could type in all the instructions here. An alternative, if you have
a portable disk drive for the Model 100 is to load your files to the disk and
get the PDD1 or PDD2 files from the APORTFOLIO conference on Compuserve. This
allows the Tandy Portable Disk Drive to be run from the Portfolio. Haven't
tried it myself yet, but fellow Portfolio owners tell me it works well. How do
you like your Portfolio? I have one, but still keep the Model 100 for serious
keyboard work. P.S. Don't be tempted by the cheaper parallel port connector
for the Portfolio. I haven't met anyone who was happy with it.
