I remember having a conversation with you about WordPerfect. I didn't want to
get it and you told me about using PCWrite. I tried that and it worked fine.
However, once I got into using WordPerfect 5.1 (with pull down menus, etc.), I
found it did a much BETTER job of importing the Model 100 text files than
PCWrite. No need to reformat, etc. It even recognized the Model 100's tabs,
so I didn't have to do new tabs at the beginning of paragraphs. I have found
WordPerfect to be quite easy to use. It just has so many features that many
people don't use, which, I believe, is why people get intimidated. A person
could try LetterPerfect, which is a scaled down version. I find many of its
features extremely valuable. When I got a Mac, I got the Mac version of
WordPerfect, which is System 7 savvy. One can view QuickTime movies and cut
and paste frames out of them into the documents. I use WordPerfect to type
preuploaded messages and save them in ASCII text format. Works great.
