There's nothing strange about your Tandy 1000 RLX. It's a DOS computer. However, you must have installed at least one serial port, i.e., COM1. The port will be either a D25 male or a D9 male connector. Connecting your TPDD or TPDD2 (...my notes indicated that you have the TPDD2) requires the existing drive cable and a simple gender changer or port adaptor. You will find these listed at the top of page 11 in the Club 100 1992 Catalog. I listed the part and the Radio Shack part number. If, however, you're trying to use the existing D25 female connector on the back of your 1000 RLX, it will never work. The D25 female port is your parallel printer port. It is not your serial port, and can not be driven as a serial port. Hope this helps... -Rick-
