I agree that Tandy is not in tune with where "most of us" are, because most of
us are looking for value and quality while "most of them (i.e. Tandy, Apple,
IBM, etc.)" are looking for profit.  Which is one reason I think the "third
party" and "semi-orphaned" computer market makes so much sense.   With "the
cutting edge" moving ahead so quickly with coresponding prices at the cutting
edge of people's budgets, "most of us" are left in the dust.  If a computer
generation is three years, I've found myself two generations behind, maybe soon
to be three generations.  But my M102, Apple IIc, and Mac Plus are still alive
and doing well.  Come to think of it, I really don't know a lot of people who
are or can afford to be at the cutting edge.  If the "they" could only tune in
to where "most of us" are, I think they and us would be a lot better off in the
long run, not only in terms of value, but of profit as well.
