Errr, no, I THINK I was talking about user-accessible memory, but I wouldn't swear to it! Most of the rambling was, of course, highly irrelevant to the M100/102/200. If you're in the mood, you might want to consider attaching something to the system bus, instead of hacking the tape drive. The 40 pins there give you full access to the address, data, and control busses, power, the enable signal for optional RAM, and the device-select signal for the "optional I/O controller." As I mentioned about the CoCo -- err, I mean the 6809 -- access to the system bus is what allowed all the nifty add-ons to happen for that machine. -- Ed
