Well, Richard... I have APPLIED for a credit card. Both at Department Stores and also in response to Direct Mail. I have never been approved. The reason given is always "insufficient credit history". I even spoke to a credit investigator, after the last time I applied. :9 Unlike you, I don't own an automobile. I've never owned a "motor vehicle", in fact. [Never wanted to. I *do* have a valid California driver's license, though. And a checking/savings/debit account with Bank of America. Of course, I *do* have credit; I can call my florist in San Jose, and have her send flowers anywhere, and she'll send me the bill. :) And also my phone, PG&E, water, and waste disposal bills have been paid regularly. Most of my income goes to charity--I'd guess that I've given away in my life over $100,000.00. :) Supporting homeless girlfriends and giving money to other needy friends. I enjoy my life, and I spend my time/energy/money where I wish. :) Making happy situations for me and my lovers. :) I'm not interested in managing my finances better, Richard. I am passionately living my life and doing what I feel is right. I enjoy communicating with my friends, and I look forward to hearing more from YOU. :) Perhaps you can interest me in money--my attitude has just been to throw money to Uncle Sam at tax time, and give money to those who seem to need it more than I do. My job currently gives me more money than I need for my rent and utilities and food. This year, I've been spending more money on MySelf--last year, in October, I had a painful breakup with my ex-girlfriend (costly too), so I'm spending money where "I'll have something to *show* for it." I bought a couple bits of jewelry, and have attended three "Sex, Love, and Intimacy" workshops at Harbin Hot Springs (in Lake County) by the Human Awareness Institute. [I carpooled. Right now, my bank balance is somewhat less than nothing... I'll have to watch my spending. I get a paycheck every fortnight, and the first one gets spent on rent; the other one covers the rest of my bills and any other frippery. :9 I guess with PCLD that your cash is spent on that business venture. Either that, or you're rich as Croesus! ;O
