Subj: 8-INCH FLOPPY DISKS

This question is not directly related to Model 100's but I need advice from
someone with the mind-set of a model T lover.

I have a fairly large library of data on 8-inch floppies left over from when I
was fairly active with Imsai, Altair, Xitan and other vintage CP/M machines.
Currently I have two Shugart SA800 drives but no computer working reliably
enough to read them. Some of the data represents many weeks of sweat and I
hate to burry it. What I'd really like is a floppy controller card that would
work in my IBM XT and would let me do occasional recoveries from the old disks.
A read-only capability would be acceptable.

Can you by any chance point me toward a source for such a controller? As a
retired EE, I might even take the time to build one if I had a circuit, but I'm
afraid I'm too out-of-date to attempt a design from scratch.

Thanks in advance for your attention.
