Okay, you've got the right pattern going, i.e., capture online for reading offline. That's the very best way to keep costs under control. Great! The second problem is one of those things that bugs the heck out of me, too. Here you are, wanting to respond to a message you read awhile back, but where in the heck is it, and how do you get back into the thread? Right? Here are some ideas: 1) Make note of the message number. Keep track of this stuff by building a binder for each system you're on. You're already capturing messages and printing them out. Now, cut and paste the paper into your binder, or make notes along thread lines. 2) When back online, use the (R)ead (I)ndividual message number feature in the (1)Conference, or the (R)ead (F)orward feature starting at the number of the message you want to <R>eply to. Once the message passes and the prompt line appears, select <R>eply, <N>o to changing the subject, etc., and either edit your message or have replys ready for uploading. NOTE: If you are going to be uploading messages into the message base, please reread my (H)ow to use... notes on this activity. It will save you tons of time. Remember, computer use is procedural not technical. Be organized and get yourself some practical procedures. Good luck... -Rick-
