Bill ... in response to your questions ... good ones, I may add: > What is the current going rate for M100s and M102s? Reconditioned Model 100's are $250 Reconditioned Model 102's are $450 Reconditioning includes: Dissassembly, compenant-level testing, repair or replace, cleaning, reassembly, application testing. Why the big price difference? Model 100's cost me far less than Model 102's to initially purchase. > Will Memory chips from M100s work in M102s? Nope, sorry. Model 100 add-on RAM are chips on a special, little circuit board. Model 102 expansion is simply a plug in chip. The two are not interchangeable. > It appears that the keyboard on the M100 I came by several months > ago is down for the count. Otherwise it appears OK, and it has a > full complement of memory chips. Yeah ... I hear you. The keyboard gets the workout and is the only moving parts on the units. Key's can be replaced, however. If only a few keys are down for the count, I'd suggest desolding them and resldering replacements. The biggest trick is desolding the keys, both the old one and a replacements from a doner keyboard. I can recondition your old Model 100 for $35/hour if you wish. Besides the keyboard, what else is wrong with it?
