----- ROM switching is now a matter of configuring your laptop with an extRAM and either a TPDD/TPDD2 or RAMPAC. Further information will be send out later this year regarding multi-ROM configurations and use. The Booster Pac is an interesting device that connects to the bottom of a Model 100 or 102, adding expansion for multipul ROMs, more RAM (storage only - you are still bound by the 32K barrier) and other interesting things. Drew Blanchar is our resident Booster Pac user. You might want to ask him about Booster Pac use. I am working on easier file access from the library. I have a bunch of ideas, all of which involve increased management time--a factor I'm trying to reduce. Some other methods are currently on the drawing board but I have not settled into what sort of extended services I will offer to improve library access. Stay tuned. Will disk drive prices come down now that Tandy is out of the game? That all depends on supply, demand and opportunity. What price, other than FREE, do you think they should be at? How large of a supply do you think is out there? How many folks do think will be willing to purchase a drive? And lastly, what is a reasonable return on money invested in disk drive inventory, and for how long, how much additional money should be spent in marketing? These are not "flip" questions but rather the "real" questions I ask myself everyday. I would REALLY appreciate a thoughtful answer. Thanks for asking... -Rick-
