David, Concerning the T200 and nicads. I use to run my T200 on nicads all the time. Worked fine. The only problem was the short warning when they ran down. But this wasn't a problem. I always had a spare set handy. The Battery warning light would come on and a few seconds later the computer would cut off. I'd just flip it over and change the batteries and I could resume with my work. Never a problem. I've quit using nicads because it just seems so much easier to pick up some AA batteries whenever I in a 7-11 or just about any other store. I would sometimes forget to charge my nicads and this never failed to bug the heck out of me. I brought my T200 used, so it could be modified but I don't think so. I think I was the first one to be inside it. When I was using nicads I noticed that if I plugged in the ac power supply to use the computer when the nicads went dead that the nicads would charge up while I was using it. The bottom of the battery compartment would get kind of warm. Not really hot but you could feel it. The nicads would charge up. Maybe it wasn't good for them but it did work. I use to just plug it in for a day when I knew the batteries were dead and then unplug it and take it with me. Never thought about it much. When I brought it, it never occurred to me that I couldn't use nicads in it. I just did it. It certainly doesn't seem to be any the worst for it and if I ever find myself without any regular batteries I won't hesitate to pop the nicads back in. With my luck they'll probably be dead though. Later... Harv
