Thanks for your insight.  I think the 1100 FD is an XT compatable.  One reason
I like it is because it does NOT have a hard disk.... Less to break down.  Also
without a hard disk, the battery life increases from about 2 hours to a
reasonable 5 1'2 hours.  It's not the 20 hours and 4 pen light batteries of the
M102 or WP-2, but reasonable since I would be using it at at desk top most of
the time.
    
I'm about 90% sold on ordering the 1100 now, but I usually like to mull things
over a few days anytime I spend more than $50 and especially if it's more than
$100.    I think I'll drop Rick Hanson a line to get his input, but at this
point it looks like I'm going to spend about $500.
    
Since you work with LapDos a lot, do you find it a bother to yourself or any
co-workers that you hook up cables to connect things?
