Very good question.  If you are starting a new subject, then just enter a
subject heading that makes sense.  If you are replying to a message, and are in
the thread of that message, then there is NO NEED to supply the subject as this
host will attach your message to the existing thread... automatically.  For
instance, <R>eply to this message but respond with N for "no" to the "change
subject" prompt.  Then, continue normally.  You will see your message as a part
of the thread.  Good question. -Rick-
