---- Okay . . . junk away. But first, a word from our sponsor... UPLOADING PLACEMENT-SENSITIVE MATERIAL INTO THE MESSAGE BASE Before uploading placement-sensitive material into the message base--such as verticle stuff, program code, etc--stuff you want to not wrap around--prepare the file by placing a space character before each line. The space character will hold each line in place from wrapping onto the line before. It's an old trick but well worth repeating. Blank lines are also prefaced with a space character before the enter. Yet, another trick. UPLOADING PLACEMENT-SENSITIVE MATERIAL ELSEWHERE The space trick is not necessary for file enclosuers, or files into the (7)Upload area--the upload area is strictly for programs, not messages, however. The file enclosure method is by far the best. The drawback is 1) The reader must list the enclosuer, and 2) The reader can not pull quotes from the enclosed file for message responses. These, of course, are not biggies. File enclosures are easy... 1) Edit a message, then exit the editing to the option prompts but don't save. 2) Select <F>ile, follow the prompts, upload your file, and return to the option prompts. 3) Select <S>ave and you're done. The message will be saved with a pointer to a separate file online. File enclosures are yet, another feature of TBBS, your friendly host software program from the fun folks at eSoft, Aurora CO. Remember, take no substitutions, ask for TBBS by name. Sold at up-scale computer stores and K-Mart. (grin) And now, back to our show...
