Subj: SCREEN BUFFER

 Well, here comes trouble again.

While on the phone with Tracy Allen I asked about the "previous screen
buffer", as to wheather it could be poked with a 4 byte string that would
remain there during the command "CLEAR". He responded yes and then gave me the
adress...64704.

Well I've "?PEEK(64704)" in each of my model T"s and get a different response
in each (the response does not change in any one, even after CLEAR or turning
the power off).

The questions are: (before I start POKING)

  1. Why are they different.
  2. How did that value get there?
  3. What is this "screen buffer" normally used for? (I supposed if this was
the first question the other two would answer themselves)

I have only 2 "CO" programs: TS-dos and the Barcode drivers and running those
shows no effect.

  Any input is welcome
