Subj: REPLY TO MSG #5228 (PROBLEMS)

Actually, we used to get a prompt to set for tty, which we did and things were
fine. When they implemented the new server, we also had to add the command
"Export Term", so our type would carry onto the internet. Since we couldn't
type the "p" in Export (it always read back Exxort), I had one of the students
at the hotline permanently change our terminal type at his computer. This
allowed me to telnet to sites which didn't have a "p" or a "0" in their address
and have the terminal type permanently exported ad tty. This was all
successful. Since then we've also discovered that the "@" doesn't type
correctly either, so we can't send E-mail on the Internet unless we're
automatically answering mail.
