Subj: HELP

Help! I have what I think is a fairly original problem. Last week my M100 sent
me back to the year 1900 (for the first time in many years). In an attempt to
retrieve some of the data, I loaded what I thought was a 'restore' program and
ran it. I then discovered that what I had actually run was the program to boot
up the 'extram' chip which I have installed but I don't use (in fact I forgot
it was there. I stopped using it some time ago, but that's another story). I
then had to cold-start again (the booting program froze everything for 2 days
until I realized my error). I know all data is lost but my problem is this:
When I now try to use Telcom, it goes into line seizeure. It grabs the phone
line, but won't dial. It then refuses to release the phone line even if I shut
the M100 down. The only way I can release the phone line is to unplug the
cable from the phone port of my M100. The cable & phone lines are fine,
because I'm using them now on my other M100 (which I kept for back up and am
using for the first time in six years). If I remember correctly, the 'extram'
program used 'telecom' somehow to communicate with itself for bank switching.
I believe that what I did by running that program in error (and then aborting
it) was to somehow activate something in telcom that won't allow me to
disengage it (like having a telephone extension in another room that is off the
hook). I have since removed the 'extram' chip & cold started the M100, but to
no avail. Any ideas?
