Hello Rick, Thanks for your reaction to my log-in message. Perhaps I should
have used the word journalists, instead of writers. I understand that the M100,
after its initial success among professional users in the US, became quite
popular with students. In Europe, the rather late introduction of the M100,
quickly followed by the M200, limited the M100 population. The M200 became
popular with journalists (like in the US), when big newspapers provided their
reporters with this machine. As a result, the user population over here is
largely non-technical, and this may explain the scarcity of published programs,
tips, and other technical information for this machine. Although there are
hundreds of BBS's in this country, I have not found a single board like Club
100. On the other hand, whenever I meet somebody who has a M102, it appears
that the machine is well-liked for its ease of use, its reliability and
compactness, and the time it operates on a set of penlites. Operating time and
weight still are the weak point of the current crop of DOS portables. The
harddisk and the backlit display use a lot of juice, and it requires a hefty
battery pack to keep things going for a couple of hours.

Yes Rick, you may be providing a unique service with Club 100 BBS. I'll
certainly inform other users when I run into them. Keep it up...
