Alan:
You're right, your questions were discussed several times through the
years but each time something new always comes up. So, let's go over them
again. It's always worthwhile to rehash stuff.

Will the DVI work with the TPDD (Tandy Portable Disk Drive, 100K) or TPDD2
(200K)? Yes and no. The DVI attaches to the system bus. The TPDD attaches to
the RS232c port (serial port). Both drives use their own disk operating system
program. These two programs are not compatible, i.e., will not function
concurrently. However, there "are" programs in our online library (see
(4)Library) that aid the transition to and from the DOSes.

Why doesn't SuperROM and the DVI DOS work together? Because... PCSG, the
author of SuperROM, and Tandy, the author of the DVI DOS, did not speak to each
other. In fact, Tandy does not speak to anyone. Tandy does not work together
with 3rd party developers to help coordinate their product offerings with 3rd
party attachments--many Tandy products don't work together, as well. This is
news to no one. It's the way of the world as we know it. Remember, there's
the Texas way and the wrong way. (Ooo... I'm going to catch heck for that
one...)

About Lapdos II: Since you own a DOS machine and a Model 100
(102/200/NEC8201/TPDD/TPDD2... it works with all of these devices) you will...
REALLY LOVE LAPDOS II !!! Lapdos is a program that runs on the MSDOS computer.
It allows for 19200 baud single and multi file transfer or all file types (.DO,
.BA, .CO) between the two devices. It's so easy to use, and so fast, that you
will never use anyother method. As for the cable, you can make your one (see
pin out diagram on the Lapdos disk) or buy one from us. Either way will work
just fine with Lapdos II. Lapdos II is the best $39.95 you will ever spend for
your laptop.

Are there other external monitor setups available for the Model 100? No! The
DVI was the only one... sort of... I believe that UltraSoft Innovations
advertises an external monitor connection device but, to this day, do not know
if they have ever shipped one.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
