----- Jerry: I'm not in the office right now--on vacation answering e-mail remotely from a phone booth at an RV park in giant redwood country (Myer's Flat, CA)--but perhaps I can help. Your older Mac probably does not have enough room to run 100duet. Indeed, upon start up, it will reject the 100duet disk since that disk does not contain the Macintosh operating system (DOS). Yes, you need ot start your older Mac with the Mac system disk in the drive. I'm pretty sure, however, that you do not need, or want, to load MacWrite, as well. This will only reduce the amont of RAM you have left for running 100duet. So, load the DOS then switch disks and run 100duet and report your findings. More assistance is available directly from Scott Anderson, Cabochon. His phone number is in the 100duet manual. Simply call Scott and let him know we spoke, and that I recommended calling him. Scott is a long-time Mac user with lots of tricks and experience; far more than I. Besides, he's home, I'm not! Hope this helps... -Rick-
