  Dear Rick,

Just a few weeks ago I purchased a Model 100, TPDD-1, bar code wand, and
assorted software from Mark Samwick (member). What a deal! It was like
Christmas in April, and what an education.

We spoke once about "CO" programs (actually you spoke, I listened) but since
I didn't have any "CO's" my understanding was very marginal. With this purchse
came a lot of them, and now that I am getting the hang of things (after a few
cold starts) I wrote a small program to help keep things from "crashing".

The one below is for TSDOS.CO (my copy is Version M-100 2.00 (c) 1986)

  10 CLEAR256,57600:LOADM"TSDOS.CO": RUNM"TSDOS.CO"
  20 CLEAR256,MAXRAM:IFHIMEM<>62960THENBEEP:BEEP:PRINT@50,"TURN OFF DOS
!!":PRINT@132,"(PRESS F5)":FORI=1TO700:NEXTI: GOTO10ELSEMENU

I save this as "TSDOS.BA" and used "MEMMGR.BA" (from Traveling Software) to
make the actual "CO" invisable. Now when I exit to the menu (F8 in
TSDOS.CO)this program checks himem and reminds me to turn off DOS BEFORE
letting me get to the MENU and try to run another "CO" (like my bar code or LPM
or a wonderful little game called "STARBLAZ-100" (from tandy)).
Any how this works for me, and has kept me from cold starting. I just thought
I would send you something.
