Here's a side note to the XR4 discussion of the previous message...

I probably better cover this side of the coin since it is probably on a lot of
folks minds or will be at some point ... not that everyone reads all these
messages. So, let's talk "hobby" now:

Once you have an option ROM "and" programming like that which comes with the
XR4 (or just happend to notice the (6)TechRef (E)ME Systems file listing ...
hint, hint, wink, wink!) you can copy your option ROM images to files then make
your own option ROM duplicates using an A.R.T. EPROM burner and an option ROM
... 27C265 100ns or 150ns.

Next question: Would I get mad if you duplicate the ROMs you get from me?
Ahhhmmm... 10 years ago, perhaps, but not now! Hey, for your own use, I don't
see a problem ... go for it. For sale to others ... I wouldn't appreciate it
but there's little I could do about it, either. I don't see this subject as a
big deal. Trust me: Ain't no one getting rich on this product line ... it's
way to much work and way to little market.

I, personally, enjoy the association and hobby. Model "T"s and Model "T" folks
like us have something special going ... that's cool! (smile) -Rick-
