Crosby!: It is my understanding that there was only one version of the Model 100, and that all RAM modules (note I did not say "chip") fit in all Model 100's--these are also the same RAM modules that fit in an NEC8201, by the way. Model 100 RAM expansion involves turning memory power off, splitting the case, inserting the RAM-module (a small circuit board with some chips and stuff on top), closing the case, and turning memory power on. Maximum RAM should show 29638 bytes free--same as a Model 102's bytes free. Model 102 and Model 200 RAM expansion differs only slightly. In both these cases, you still turn off memory power, but you don't have to split the case. Expansion is an external operation. You will find a RAM/ROM hatch on the bottom of either a Model 102 or 200, where in you insert a RAM chip (note I did not say "module"). Then, close the hatch and turn memory power on. That's it. Sounds like you're trying to insert a Model 102 RAM in a Model 100. I assure you, that is not a successful or rewarding venture. -Rick- PS: As you know, we are Model T owner's RAM expansion source. And, we will match or better any... that's ANY... advertised source for Model 100, 102, 200 and NEC8201 RAM expansion.
