Subj: REPLY TO MSG #4432 (TS-DOS)

----
I recall something about TPDD and TPDD2 overhead. It's been awhile but I
believe that you can get about 85,000 to 87,000 bytes total on a TPDD formatted
disk. The best way to confirm this is to use the DOS-ON function of TS-DOS,
open a file on a fresh disk, then write bytes to it, counting them to your
screen until you get an error message.

Here's a program idea... not tested but should work...

 10 CLS:MAXFILES=1:X=0
 20 OPEN"0:X.DO"FOROUTPUTAS1
 30 PRINT#1,"A";
 40 X=X+1:PRINT@130,X
 50 GOTO30

When this puppy crashes you will have the count of the last byte you wrote to
the file.  Good luck... -Rick-
