Oh my... so if I understand you correctly, there will be yet, another Rick in this world. :-) You're doing all the right things ... and of course, you have referred to your manual on the subject of accessing the disk drive from within the ROM, i.e. function key <f7> DOS. Whey you select <f7> it asks if you want to change HIMEM, you respond with Y and it ... beeps! The beep indicates that it looked out the serial port and didn't fine DOS100.CO on a disk drive TPDD or TPDD2 ... or ... via the null modem cable to DeskLink running on your DOS computer. And now we know where to look. We need to look at two items, 1) The com port you have activated in DeskLink (com1 or com2), and/or 2) The null modem cable. Yes, I know I said that a Club 100 cable was your best bet but it's an element in this system and must be questioned. There is no "perfect" or "only way" in this arena. When you hit the <f7> function key and respond to the HIMEM prompt with Y it "will" look out the serial port for DOS100.CO ... that is what it was programmed to do. The DeskLink end of the system must be looking out the same seral port that the null modem cable is attached too ... and without COM port conflicts within your DOS computer, e.g. fax program running in the background, or mouse program, etc. One way to test out the system is to use an older, simpler DOS computer, such as an XT with "nothing" loaded that looks at the com ports. Good luck... keep working at it... -Rick-
