It took me 5.55 minutes to read 10 messages (Read Forward starting at message
1). The first 100 lines, including blanks, on my 40 characters/line Model 100
at 300 baud took 1.91 minutes. If this is a representative sample, then there
are about 1164 characters/message. 1,164 characters for 5,200 messages is
6,052,800 characters. Assuming 132 characters/line, this is about 45,855
lines, which will take me about 14 hours, 36 minutes, 13 seconds to read as it
scrolls by. Printed on a high-speed printer, at 66 lines/page, this will be
ONLY 695 pages. For $300, this would come to a bit more than 43cents/page.
Still, Rick, this is equivalent to $20.54/hour [$300/14.6036hours to read on my
Model 100
] I'm sure your printer and setup time will be faster than 14 hours, and
ribbon/paper costs arn't THAT exorbitant, so you will make MORE than
$20.54/hour. So, if you wish, I agree to pay you $300 for the hardcopy of this
message base.
