Thanks, Richard, I've received everything. I don't know what I'm still doing
wrong. I downloaded DSKMGR.100 as DSKMGR.DO, cleaned it up and loaded it into
basic, saved it as DSKMGR.BA, ran it and successfully created DSKMGR.CO.
Meanwhile, I'd created the ROOT directory on my PC and copied all the
files from the floppy into it.
I make a nullwmodem connection to the 102 to the PC's parallel port ww
under the impression (and maybe this is my problem) that it's COM1. And in
some ways, when I was trying to connect without Desklink, the 102 did act as
if it had made contact through the cable. But I never transfer anything.
Back to the story: Having made the connection, I run Desklink on the PC,
and when it prompts me, run DSKMGR on the 102.
But from there, I'm stuck. DSKMGR just gives me a menu of files I've
already got on the 102 and a set of function keys which quickly give me an NR
error whenever I try to do anything. I suspect I'm not really connected.
However, just in case I am, here's my question. The first thing I want to do
from DSKMGR is download DOS100.co from the PC. Step for step and key stroke
for keystroke, how would I do that?
Thanks for the help! Oh, and by the way, I apologize for any screwups
posting these replies. It's been a long time since I was on a regular board,
and I'm clumsier than if I'd never been on one at all.
                     Bill
