Guy: In fact, you have downloading options beyond the .DO file TELCOM limit.

Speaking from a Model 100 on-line use point of view:

If you are talking about downloading from this BBS to your Model 100 via TELCOM
you can only capture .DO files. And, with very few exceptions, all files,
marked .DO, .BA, .100, etc. are actually in ASCII (.DO) format.

If you use one of the XMODEM-capable programs available from our on-line
library, you may download all file-types. Note: If you download an ASCII file
with the extension .BA into a .BA file on your Model 100 instead of into a .DO
file, you are in for a cold start. When you go to run this file, the BASIC
interpreter expects tokenized code. It will die a terrible death when it hits
an ASCII (.DO) file disguised as a .BA file.

Speaking from a direct-connect, computer-to-computer point of view:

You have a wide variety of methods available for transferring files. I
annotate these methods in The Whole Enchilada series document entitled
"Computer-to-Computer File Transfers." This document will be ready soon. You
may order now. I sent you a flyer on this back on 7/26/94.
