Good questions. I'll take them by the numbers...

 > I'm interested in having you sell some of my Tandy programs, some books, and
printer cables. But not sure how you do this. Do you require pre
authorization before you accept any shipments of material? Or should I just
pack everything up and send it without notifying you first.

No pre-authorization required. Pack it, include a list of items, ship it. My
UPS delivery address is: 701 Charlton Drive, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523

 > How do you arrive at sale prices Do you require me to specify a price I'm
looking for or do you request full authorization to decide the prices of all
items you sell on consignment?

I use magic to arrive at sales prices. Some items, like printer cables, are
priced at what I list in the catalog since I manufacture these items.
Programs, too, may be priced at retail but that's a judgement call based on the
condition of the items received. Everything else is priced based on the "feel"
for the market--and yes, I price some items on the high side then come down, or
bundle, depending on the customer. When I mark an item "sold" on the
consignment list, the associated price is usually not the final sales price but
I will not adjust the list price to reflect the actual sales price.

 > Thanksgiving to Christmas is usually a dead time around here as far as
selling anything unrelated to Christmas. Do you anticipate losing sales after
the 25th of November and then things picking up after the 1st of next year? In
other words is this a bad time to send anything.

There is no good or bad time for "an item" to sell. Customers call at all
times during the year. I "anticipate" making sells during November and
December just like I did last year, and the year before.

You didn't ask this question but since this is an open message for all to read,
I'd thought it best include the following:

Note: I've received an unusually high number of calls from folks with items on
consignment, wanting to know when they will get their money. I cut checks at
the end of the month of sale. Today is the 30th of October. I intend to cut
October checks either Monday the 31st, or Tuesday the 1st, depending on my
workload.

Thanks for your questions... -Rick-
