The 605 appears to be able to fit inside the battery box if you take the
springs off but I have NOT tried it yet.  It has two wires for connection so
one would have to com-shaw a hook up method.  I'm still not ready to 'play'
with that project yet, but the cell container is slightly smaller than four AA
cells laid side-by-side.  I think the wires/connection will be the 'hardest'
thing to figure out, but I was thinking of simply using the Dremel tool to cut
a small portion of the plastic battery box away and you could leave the pack
inside the container and charge it by modifying the circuit board.  I think
that article was in Portable 100 magazine. Like I said, this idea is still in
my 'development' stage, but it seems pretty plausable to me and much better
than having the ni-cad cell idea drop in voltage...since the machine appears to
run on voltage down to 5 anyway.
