----
Joe: You'll have to flip the DIR/ACP switch on the left hand side of your Model
100 to ACP. Also, go into BASIC and issue the command: SOUND OFF. Another
idea is to open your Model 100's case. Look on the mother board a little left
and up from center for a little, round blue thing with a Phillips screwdriver
slot in the top. Turn it counter-clock wise until it stops, then back it off a
bit. This will increase the gain to the modem circuit, enhansing accoustic
cups operations.

Everything else should work normally. If, for some reason you can not
autodial, try manually dialing. If you're still having problems, let me know,
I will test another set of cups and send them your way. Keep me posted.

One more thing: Having used my cups from many a phone booth throughout the
Western States, and from Hawaii--10 years ago--I noted that some phone booth's
electrical power is less then necessary for cups. I first noted this in
Yosemite National Park about 5 years ago. I rode my bike from booth to booth
with no success. Then I rode over to the Awhanee Hotel and successfully used
their phone in the lobby. Of course, I always wrap the cups and hand set in a
towel to help isolate the unit from background noise.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
