Yo! Big strong winds blow me away, too.

You're not alone. I am still amazed that we can do the things we can do with
today's micro's. My hat's off to the many, many super, wiz bang hardware and
software techs in our world; and the companies that finance them, and carry the
marketing burden. The "average" brand new micro computer, and "average" run of
the mill application program today offers far more potential then folks have
time to realize. It's all a whold bunch of over-kill. And, it's moving
forward. My goodness, what's next?

I've been thinking about stuff like this, lately, i.e., the whole "moving
forward" thing, letting the past die, reinventing the wheel, etc. So much
good, solid how-to-do-this and how-to-do-that stuff goes by in every industry.
Very little if any is held for the next generation of those interested in that
particular subject matter. If only there was an organized, public domain, easy
access, inexpensive storage and retrieval system available. Alas. Not. The
tree of knowledge is, indeed, a futile quest. I don't have an answer. When
you want an answer to what seems like an easy question, you get an answer,
dependent on background, a million books deep. Yet, discovering something,
anything new is such a joy; regardless of the pain. Sure, you wish you knew
more, or knew something sooner, but at least now you know, and now you can
smile and experience the joy.

Enjoy your new disk of xmas music as much as those who enjoyed developing the
many programs that give you joy. -Rick-
