Lex, Lapdos II is a communication system, designed to transfer files between a DOS computer and a TPDD, TPDD2, Model 100, Model 102, Model 200, or NEC PC8201A laptop device. Lapdos uses the IEEE RS232C serial port at 19200 baud to do its magic. Other RS232C devices must not share the same port at the same time. When Lapdos II is working, the laptop device is in dumb-peripherial mode. Thus, you can not use your Model 100 to "control" your DOS computer or its programs. That was never the intent. Again, one more time, and again if necessary... no problem... Lapdos II is used to transfer files between a DOS computer and any of a veriety of laptop devices. The DOS computer controls the laptop device and not vise versa during the transfer. Lapdos II contains a handful of very useful functions, making it the very best file transfer tool, if not an indespensable tool for the laptop/DOS owner, i.e., transfer .DO, .BA and .CO files, one at a time or in batch, at 19200 baud, and other tricks. It's fast and easy and a joy to use. What else can I say? Lapdos II really puts an edge on your computing environment. -Rick-
