Barry: Excellent question. I moved your question and my reply to the conference area for group input. Ähe Model "T" series computers (100, 102, 200) have a built in TELCOM program that handles only one type of fila transfer protocol: ASCII. There is nothing wrong with this as this was the standard back in the late 70's early 80's during the development of the Model 100. Over the years, CIS and other online service users adapted the XMODEM file transfer protocol to the Model "T" series. All of the best XMODEM file transfer protocol-capable programs are in our online library. With library access you may download all of them and choose the one you will ultimately use. Unlike ASCII, XMODEM assures error correction during transfer. When using one of the stand-alone XMODEM-capable programs you simply use that program instead of the TELCOM program. It will use the TELCOM code built into the Model "T" ROM and provide the XMODEM file transfer code as an add-on. So, there's your answer. Use an XMODEM-capable program. Thanks for asking ... -Rick-
