Subj: REPLY TO MSG #6063 (ANYONE OUT THER

I just found your message after searching for NEC 8201A references. I've
been programming in BASIC for the the 8201A (as well as for the M100, etc.).
Check out the Uploads section: I recently added a bunch of updated older
programs, which I had orginally written for my own use (or amusement), along
with newly written doc files for them. Some of these are either exclusively
for the 8201A or will run on it and on the Tandys (but they all have the .DO
extensions appropriate for ASCII files, I don't like ".NEC" extensions!). Let
me know if there are any problems running these programs (beta testing
needed!).
You mentioned that you owned an NEC 8300; it would be interesting to know if
all 8201A files will run on the 8300. Can VOYEUR N2.0 (VYRN20.BA) read BASIC
tokens as keywords and convert dead .BA files into .DO files in a cold-started
8300? To do so, the 8300 would have to use the same kooky BASIC as the 8201A.
(See the last doc file for VOYEUR N, VYRND5.DO.)
If you use WINDOWS, look for the icons depicting an 8201A (with and without
"CLUB 100" on the keyboard): NEC8201A.ICO and CLUB100C.ICO; coloring aside, how
closely does it resemble an 8300?
