Subj: REPLY TO MSG #7051 (FEEDBACK: DEVELOPER ROM2 FINDINGS)
Developer ROM2 findings - message #002 There's a minor bug in DBG "immediate simulation" mode. The bug is present only in the developer ROM2, not in the normal ROM2. DBG does not simulate the Decimal Adjust Accumulator (DAA) instruction where you directly inject it in immediate mode. Where DAA is injected, DBG merely responds with its DBG> prompt rather than display the register set to show the effect of instruction simulation. Perhaps the lack of register set display in DBGs response is a clue for other instances where it does not simulate an instruction - I can't say. Note that DBG does simulate the DAA instruction where the instruction is "fetched" from memory - in this case the simulation is correct and DBG responds with a display of the register set.
