I'll look back at the early issues of PICO to see about that XOS-C type
environment. I don't rememeber much at all about it, since I never had an
8201, but I recall people saying that his (whose?) work added significant
enhancements to the bank management. NEC took more interest in the technical
development of their product, but I think the marketing arm didn't do anything
with it. Tandy was the other way around, strong marketing, and take it or
leave it on the hardware.

To use the molex adapter and a ram chip, you would have to bend up several
leads on the chip, solder on a transistor and two resistors, and a couple of
jumpers over to other pins on the molex socket and to pins on the bus socket.
I cringe thinking about it. I did that sort of thing to get the two extra 24k
banks in my T200, but I'd never do it again. That enthusiastic caveat out of
the way, I'd be happy to mail you a schematic diagram of what you would have to
do to try it out!
