The dock is call, "the loading dock." Simply put the two together and you get... Port Chicago's Loading Dock. Today however, there is no formal town--no buildings, no residences, no people, no government--the land is owned by the Navy. One last point: Since business must get a business license we (Drew and I) figured that by opening a business in a town that no longer exists would eliminate that cost. It was an idea that filtered from the pitcher if beer on the table. (grin)
