Subj: REPLY TO MSG #3650 (PORTABLE 100 CONTEST)

Joe: That was probably the best feedback I've ever received online regarding
the nature of this business. I agree with everything you've said without
question. Some of what you said we've talk about before, on which I share
common feelings.

I've been thinking about P100 magazine lately. I've get a lot of slack from
those folks; and a lot of creative ideas from Bob Liddle. In fact, if it
weren't got Bob, many of the ads and ideas created in P100 mag would not exist,
today.

I'm running two, full page ads. For the second full page ad, they gave me
another page (from the wrapper) to use as I see fit--no charge! I chose to use
it as a newsletter. Then, in the first newsletter I came up with the contest
idea. Both the newsletter on the wrapper--and who reads a wrapper thinking
it's not all advertising?--and the contest with in are new features. Three
responses is actually good. Besides, I also received a few orders for the new,
"The Club 100 BBS Guide."

I guess I'm okay with the response and the amount of advertising I do in P100
mag. I just need to think less grand, and more hands-on, fundamental stuff.
Guess it's back to the drawing board.

Thanks for your response. I can't tell you how much it helps. I, like
everyone else, live in isolation. By the way, did you read the newsletter?
Also, I would like you to read and review "The Club 100 BBS Guide." I'll send
you one with a note.

Thanks again, and again, and yet another again... -Rick-
