David: It's easy to imbed control characters into a .DO file. The process is:

To enter a print command, hold down <CTRL>; then in sequence press <P> and the
letter assigned to that command. Example: To enter ^B for bold, hold down
<CTRL>; then press and release <P>; press and release <B>; release <CTRL>.

On a stock Model "T" you will have to force the file out the printer port vs.
using the <SHIFT><PRINT> command, else your embeded control characters will not
affect the printer. To force the output, while in the your .DO file, tap your
<F3>Save function key, enter PRN: and hit <ENTER>.

You will be limited in what you can do, using the above method. There is, of
course, much easier ways. First, our online library has an entire section
devoted to printing, including several full-featured print formatters. Second,
a ROM-based program like T-Word, found on the Ultimate ROM II and the Sardine
ROM, goes even further.

Here's a list of what you can do with T-Word

Hope this helps. -Rick-
