Wayne: The disk/video interface (DVI) is a computer that you plug onto your
computer. I know that sounds odd. Hang in there... The DVI is a device with a
mother board, processor, etc., that plugs into the system bus of your laptop.
The DVI supports 2, 100K 5.25" disks and a TV monitor. The operating system
DVI-DOS is booted in from an external boot disk. Part of it resides in the
laptop and part in the DVI. Operations of the DVI devices are through the
laptop.

Good stuff: The DVI supports 80 column mode in all built in programs. It also
supports direct to disk file access while online.

Bad stuff: The connecting cable often breaks and is $70+ from Rat Shack to
replace. Also, the DVI-DOS conflicts with many of the add-on software--you've
got to pick and choose and play in this area.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
