Not familiar with X-Tel, but know of some TELCOM extensions in the Library that
shell to TEXT & BASIC via F keys. Regarding "LF on", it's no biggie - but
LFKYR1.CO (which I've not yet uploaded) is a use-once-and-kill deal that leaves
TSR-like code mingled in BASIC F-key definition table (no free mem consumed)
and provides (among other things) CR/LF versus CR-only line end treatment for
LPT port. User in TELCOM Term mode sets desired treatment via CTRL key and
"strikes" TELCOM F6 key.

Yea, without the IBM character set View80 and VT-100 might fit in with TS-DOS
and X-Tel. That's my uneducated assessment.
