I've noted something these days that has me concerned. You are not the first
to do this and not the last ... and I am, in no way, picking on you. Okay?

I have noted:

1) That all too many people, these days, want their e-mail sent via their
internet e-mail address as if the term "e-mail address" is internet-only.

The term "e-mail" is generic. Not all e-mail addresss are capable of being
accessed by way of the Internet network.

2) Want answers to "public interest" questions sent to them, and them alone.

The value of online serivces is the constant development and redevelopment of a
shared-consciusness. Ideas and points of view shared is group-knowledge.
Group-knowledge is timely, flexible, interactive. And, if maintained, is
researchable ... timelessness. When ideas are excluded, the group loses, and
all who follow lose as well. Thus, when I read ...

Send answers to my e-mail address joe.schmo@webeonline.too

... I cringe!! That's like saying: Send me the answers for me alone and to
heck with eveyone else. How self centered. How rude. How X-ish.

Now ... here's the kicker: I am powerless to change this trend.

Sadly yours ... -Rick-
