John: Whenever you go into TEXT, your RAM contents shifts into an editing
area--something like that, so I am told. The processor needs room to move
things around. Also, whenever you SELECT for a CUT or PASTE, the PASTE buffer
gets filled with the contents of the current SELECT; thus bytes go down. If
you go into BASIC and do a CLEAR the bytes used by the PASTE buffer are cleared
and bytes go up.
