Subj: REPLY TO MSG #6910 (HELLO, RICK. THIS IS GREAT! I FEEL)

Hello Ted. Welcome aboard. Sounds like you're going to have a great time
learing to use your 102 again and using this service. So, let's cover the
basics. To stop and start transmission, use <p> and <enter> or <ctrl> <q> and
<ctrl> <s>. Make sure you "read the screen" for prompts, like <A>gain, to read
a message again, or <->to go back through a message thread.

Your 102 can capture and send ASCII (.DO) files. To turn capture on, tap your
<f2>Down function key, key in a 1 to 6 character filename (do not include the
.DO extension), and hit <enter>. It will remain open unitl you hit the <f2>
again. Once closed, do not open that particular filename again while online or
the new stuff will immediately reset the pointers of the file--all is lost,
replaced by the new stuff, i.e. there ain't no append feature! :) -Rick-
