MOD is one of 2 integer functions supported by many programming languages. When you divide one integer by another, you always have a quotient and a remainder (even if the remainder is 0). The DIV function will give you the quotient and the MOD function will give you the remainder. Example: 10 divided by 3 is 3, with a remainder of 1. Therefore, 10 DIV 3 equals 3 and 10 MOD 3 equals 1.
