Subj: THANKS

What a knucklehead! It wasn't until after I sent off my plaintive request for
help that I realized the LIST.COM that you had been talking about was none
other than my old friend that I've been using for years to scroll up and down
through text files and print out portions thereof. I didn't realize, however,
that the utility had such a nifty search (Find) feature, and I shall be forever
grateful to you for pointing it out.

So, using LIST I found it relatively easy to find what I needed from the .DO
files that the old CLUB100.EXE produced. That's probably what everybody else
(who weren't so dense) did, and why you didn't receive any other complaints.
In fact, now that I've downloaded GO.EXE and tried it, I'm hard pressed to see
what it does to justify its 27,270 bytes of storage space and will probably
chuck it. Wouldn't a short menu listing in a .BAT file (a la LAPDOSII) serve
just as well?

While I've worked with computers ever since the mid 50's at SRI when we built
ERMA for the Bank of America and currently own about a dozen different types, I
think My all-time favorite is the Model 100 and I expect to be using it for
many years to come. Therefore I follow your activities with considerable
interest and wish you well.

Thanks again for all your help, including how to use the cubbyhole. WEE
