By the way, I have a very "basic"question about BASIC: how do I enter a program
without running it, so I can save it?? I've not used BASIC very much, and the
little reference guide that came wtih the computer isn't accurate on this
subject. I tried typing in a little program as a TEXT file, then going into
BASIC and loading it, but this only brings error messages (DS,TM or MO,
depending on how I use the LOAD instruction). The 'program' I'm trying to work
with is that little sequence of instructions that's meant to zero out byte 227
of the directory sector. It runs when I type it in directly (though it doesn't
"work", i.e. doesn't change that byte), so I know the code is not the problem.
