A termcap entry is used by many Unix operating systems for the purpose of
terminal control.  If you use your Model 100 computer as a terminal on a Unix
system, then having a termcap or terminfo that describes the escape sequences
that are expected will allow you to use screen mode editors, and programs will
be able to display INVERSE-VIDEO characters, if they want to, without having to
have <ESC>p hardcoded in the program.  :D
