Sometimes you scare me, Robert. You're a scary guy!

The MERGE command is availble in Model 100/102/200/NEC Microsoft BASIC. It
facilitates the inclusion of lines of new code in with existing code in the
BASIC interpreter without dumping the BASIC buffer, i.e., MERGE allows code
appends whereas LOAD dumps any existing code, first.

Example:

MERGE"COM:58N1E" ...this will merge incoming code from the COM port at 1200
baud into any existing code in BASIC without destroying that existing code. It
"will" replace any same line numbered code.

LOAD"COM:58N1E" ...this will dump existing code in BASIC then load incoming
code from the COM port at 1200 baud.

You will find examples for Model 100 BASIC code in the BASIC class files in the
(6)TechRef section. As you know, the (6)TechRef area is one of the many free
areas of this BBS service for all online members.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
