Just doing a bit more thinking on your last message. You might want to look at any of the general ledger and/or checking programs in the library. These "may" give you some additional insights into processing methods. Another thing to consider is the size of the history file. Although your information on this end indicates you own a Model 100 and the Ultimate ROM II, I don't see TPDD or TPDD2, or TS-DOS listed in your collection of goodies. Based on the growing size of your data files, you may want to consider using a TPDD or TPDD2 and TS-DOS to open files directly on disk, rather than having to bring them into RAM for processing. Also, your Ultimate ROM II has a very capable, fully relational database program on board. You might want to explore T-Base for this project. I also have a note in your record that you were thinking about purchasing an Apple Mac computer. If you do, then your Model 100 may function as a remote data collection computer. You would then use 100duet to easily transfer file to your Mac, and use either a relational database, or hypercard, or a spreadsheet program, like Excel, to process your data into the required reports. Each type of program I've listed approaches your processing needs a bit differently, offering opportunities, while presenting various limitations--in all cases requiring many hours of if's and maybe's and loads of fun. I say this with all honesty. There is nothing more fun in computing then getting a computer to function automatically towards a processing goal. It is those time that one REALLY learns their art form. Again, hope this helps... -Rick-
