Thomas,

Ditto your sentiment for orphaned and, especially, inherited computers! I got
my first Model T - an incredibly loaded 102 with Booster Pak and 1 meg RamDisk
- free from a friend who never used it. As a writer I was stranded when my
ancient Franlin ACE 1000 broke down (an Apple II+ clone - to give you an idea
of how fond I am of good old stuff), and my friend's gift was truly appreciated
at the time.

However, since I've actually learned to use it far more intuitively than I ever
could my Franklin, I appreciate it all the more. Besides the handy size the
Model T's version of BASIC is much simpler to learn, especially with the quick
switch from .BA to ASCII to .BA capability.

I later received another Model 100 from the same friend. I've been trying to
return the favor by preaching the Model T gospel to anyone who'll listen!
