Subj: REPLY TO MSG #3560 (MEMORY CHIPS)

Carl: The Model 100 uses 8K memory modules. When you disassemble the M100, you
will see 3 similar (may not be exact) modules in the lower left corner of the
computer. There should be 1 empty space. Align the new module so that it is
oriented in the same way as the other 3. Carefully push the pins of the module
into the sockets. I suggest that you not wear static-prone clothing when you
do this procedure. It is really easy. I know that you can find memory for
less than $30. I believe Rick Hanson has some for about $20 a module. Oh yes,
turn off the computer for the memory installation procedure. You do not have
to configure anything -- the M100 will identify the new memory automagically.
