Thank you for the tests. I did hear the "click" for OUT160,1 but nothing
whatsoever for OUT160,0 OUT178,12 and OUT178,12. What should I do now? You
were correct in assuming that I am using a Direct Connect modem cable which is
plugged directly into a dedicated phone jack that the phone company installed
for me in 1986 just for my M100. Under normal circumstances, the mere act of
plugging the modem cable into the port on my M100 will have no effect on the
phone line. It normally grabs the phone line only when I am in telcom and even
then only when I initiate dialing via 'F2'. Also, I am communicating now with
no problem, and everything is the same with the exception of the M100 itself.
If I understand you correctly, since it failed the OUT160,0 test, the problem
would appear to be with a relay. What should I do now?
