Yep! Time is tight for us all, but you know, it was not always that way. I clearly recall having absolutely nothing to do. The bills were paid, money in the savings, no lingering, long-term projects. I could just hang out, ride my bicycle, go for a walk, read a book, work on a model, or anything. What the heck happened to thse days? I know I was a nicer guy. In fact, strange as it may seem, I liked helping my friends move! I got a kick out of stacking stuff and organizing things. Strange, huh? Thinking on it now, while enjoying my first cup of coffee this morning, I can definately key in on the cause: I feel insecure. I am not comfortable with my financial position and income stream. Don't get me wrong. I am very thankfull of what I have, where I am, the work I do, and my future. I am in control. But, I just feel that I can't stop and smell the roses for any length of time without worrying about "things." Much of the problem is how much I owe right now due to downsizing Club 100 operations (cutting back on national advertising, operations costs, etc.) and ramp-up costs for the new business. The sum is over $100,000 but it's pennies to what others have risked building their businesses. For instance, the owner of StarBuck Coffee lost $1,000,000 in his first year. I am confident that it will all work out over time, and my enthuseasum and energy is high, but it's so hard to get over that number, or at least be able to set it asside for some time without worry. So, what does this have to do with scanning a document? Nothing. Everything. Disk is best for the programming, not tape, please. I'll work on finding all the rest of the older Traveling Software product line. Thanks for asking. All the best ... -Rick-
