Subj: REPLY TO MSG #3398 (WHICH IS BETTER?)
Bruce: I moved your message to ALL from the mailbox area, where a person named ALL does not exist, to the conference where ALL is a valid name; thus everyone could read and respond. Just thought you'd like to know. Now to the question at hand: "Which is a better word processor? The WP2 or the Model 102?" The answer is actually straight forward on the surface. The WP-2 is a dedicated word processing computer, complete with spell check and thesaurus. The Model 102 is not a dedicated word processing computer. The 102 needs some add-ons to bring it up to the capabilities (about 90%) of the WP-2. The Model 102 is, however, capable of doing a ton of other things. I personally like the "fun" of the 102. I like the big LCD characters, the built in BASIC, and all the extras I can add. The WP-2, on the other hand, is lighter and smaller. In both cases, text developed on these machines is easily moved onto other computers, i.e., Mac and DOS computers via WPduet, 100duet, WP2DOS and Lapdos II. I am sure that other online members can add their perspective to this message thread. Thanks for asking. -Rick-
