Do many of the Club 100 members subscribe to Prodigy? (I do and am stuck with it for a year's subscription.) If so, it may be another way for Club 100 to communicate with some of its members, since there is no long-distance or hourly charge. I don't have anything in particular in mind, except I saw one caller leave a Prodigy ID number on one message when I logged on the other day to see what was happening. I think the disk mailing with all kinds of helpful info on how to use this BBS and what is available is a good idea. After reading that the Club 100 president is sampling other BBS's, so as to get a feel for what the pros & cons are for BBS callers, I remembered having read about probably the biggest non-commercial BBS in the country: Rusty and Edie's "Ma & Pa" BBS. It was the subject of an article in the March 1991 issue of PCM. Rick probably already is aware of it, but just in case he isn't, it sounds like one he should try to include in his calling. They started out with 6 or 8 calls per day and 1 phone line. Now, they grown to 200 calls daily, 64 phone lines and computers & modems to match each line, plus file servers to serve them. They must be doing something right. Their phone numbers are: 216-726-2620 (rotates to all 64 modems) 216-726-3589 (HST 9600 baud modems) and 216-726-1247 (V-32 modems) Have I called them? Well, no.
