Subj: REPLY TO MSG #2985 (RECENT ORDER)

Jerry: Yes, I received your order just before leaving. I have not processed
it, yet. Sardine is actually two items in one, i.e., the program disk and the
dictionary disk.

If you purchase Sardine on disk you get 2 disks (program disk, and dictionary
disk) and a Sardine manual. You use the program disk to load the Sardine
program into your laptop. When its operating, looking at words in one of your
.DO files, it uses the distionary disk to search for words. Using Sardine via
the URII makes loading and running the program a matter of selecting Sardine
from the Ultimate ROM II's menu. Again, when running, checking your document
for spelling, the dictionary disk must be in your TPDD or TPDD2.

If you purchase Sardine on ROM you get a ROM, the dictionary disk, and 2
manuals (T-Word and Sardine). The ROM version of Sardine gives you much more
then just the Sardine program. The ROM contains both the T-Word and Sardine
programs, and an additional 5,000 word business dictionary on the ROM. When
using the ROM-based dictionary you do not need to have the dictionary disk in
the TPDD. If, however, you "do" wish to use the larger 33,000 word dictionary
as well, you "must" use the dictionary disk.

As you know, our laptop's handle only one ROM at a time, e.g., URII or Sardine
on ROM. You certinly would not want to keep physically swapping ROMs inorder
to use the various features of each ROM. On both the Sardine ROM and the URII
ROM you also have a TS-DOS loading program to load TS-DOS from the ROM; so that
feature is similar to both ROMs. However, you "may" want othr features from
the two (or more) ROMs in your collection. In that case, you will want to
purchase one of the ROM-swap devices currently available. These are: extRAM,
XR4 or Booster Pak.

extRAM: Facilitates ROM swapping of images from TPDD or rampac. Supports one
ROM image at a time.

XR4: Same as extRAM with the exception of supporting 4 ROM images at a time, or
mix the areas as RAM and ROM, i.e., 4 ROM 0 RAM, 3 ROM 1 RAM, 2 ROM 2 RAM, 1
ROM 3 RAM.

Booster Pak: Hold ROMs physically (up to 11 ROMs). Comes complete with 96K RAM
Disk storage, built in TS-DOS (with special RAM to RAM Disk commands), telcom
with xmodem to/from RAM Disk as well. May be RAMed up to 1MB or mix with ROMs
and RAM as desired.

Last note: At this time, extRAM and Booster Pak is available and shipping. The
XR4 is in the last stages of development; mainly the production of the manual.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
