Dear Frank,
I took the simpler approach with my KYO85, and replaced its ROM with a M100
ROM. Now the KYO thinks it is for all practical purposes an M100, and all M100
programs, even .CO programs, run fine on it. Of course there is no modem or
BCR. And I take that back; a couple of programs have had a glitch or two, but
rarely. I can use a 256k rampac on the kyo, although I can't use the extRAM or
XR4. Obviously, this modification is not something that I could sell, i.e.,
copy the ROM. But keep your eye out for a trashed M100. It is very easy to
unplug the ROM and stick a new one in its place. -- Tracy
