Great to have you aboard, Conrad. Make the meetings as you can. The Model 102 (100, 200, WP2, NEC8201) computer(s) have plenty of life left in them. You, and thousands of others, are rediscovering the obvious practical uses of the early laptops. I'm glad you noted that beginners abound. We are "all" beginners at something all the time. Frankly, unless we're a super systems's analysis, top-notch power user on several platforms and fellow at some institution writing the how-to books, we are all in need of beginner training--even if we have to administer it ourselves. I, personally, enjoy learning new tricks, and like to share whatever I learn. I've noted that the more I attempt to share what I know, however lame and off-base, the more I receive in return. I guess you could say a good way to learn is to teach. Sounds like you understand, first hand, what I'm talking about. Thanks for the video tape feedback. Without question, our society is more visual today than in the past--television probably helped the visual growth. We are also dealing with life on a global scale while maintaining isolated lives. We have few close friends but lots of remote contacts. In short, services of tomorrow must provide bridges to these two extreems. I feel the feelings and can express various qualities but am having a very hard time manifesting product/service ideas. There's got to be ways to link focus group activites on a global scale, cost effectively. I see the concept as a win-win situation but, again, am having a hard time putting a face on it--a production or services flow. Any ideas? --says Andy Worhol -Rick-
