Excellent question about used printers.  I am sure you can find a suitable
printer in your area.  A suitable printer would be any Epson brand printer in
good working order.  I wouldn't go back to the MX series, though, I would start
by looking at the FX series and moving forward.  The Epson FX 80 came to market
around 1981.  It has a 9 pin head and both tractor and pinch feed rollers.
Later, Epson came out with their LQ series.  Nice printers.  LQ stands for
"Letter Quality" but should be viewed as NLQ, or near letter quality.
 
That's my two cents.  Perhaps others can add to this.  And, if someone from
home town, there in Fayetteville, NC, or thereabouts, reads this message, they
