John ... yes, arn't passwords wonderfull when you forget them? :) Okay ... you've got library access for yet another year and an invoice will be mailed. I'd drive it over but am taking TOON-T in for a TOON-up adjustment this Monday. Got to have to in tip top running condition for Wednesday evening and since we added electronic points (no points now!) its fuel curve is off a bit ... a big bit! There is one GREAT BIG THING YOU CAN DO TO HELP the cause right now, and throughout the year. You are one of the local guys, and you are a competent DOS computer user. Here's the plan. I respectfully request that you log onto our new service in Concord and do the following: First, the name and number: Port Chiacgo's Loading Dock, Inc. 676-5359 up to 14400 baud - 8N1 - ANSI Color Graphics Emulation Once online, get confortable. Then... 1) Go into the (X) Professional Contacts 2) Read about the services there and take note 3) Call them and inquire about their service, and/or drop by their store and look around. 4) Tell them you read about their service or store on-line and want to do business with those that support the service. Okay? That's it. You do not have to do business unless you want but at least say hi. Take your time. There's no rush. One last thing: PCLD is my new business. I want it to work and those advertising online are good businesses, and good people. Also, the community services we're bring online, like the EDD/EU in Pleasant Hill, Northern California Scouting, and more online and in the works are all part of the project. Please tell every local person you know, that has a computer and modem, to log on and use the service. There is no charge to log on and use the local items. We do charge a few pennies ($0.50/hr) to access Fidonet, Internet, download and games but that's only to keep the kids away, i.e., we're liable for messages put on the nets from our service, so that's why we put up a little money wall but that's the only charge and it is optional, like the library here on the Club 100 bbs. Thanks again for purchasing library access for another year and thank you, in advance, for any efforts you can provide to use while we're building PCLD. -Rick-
