Rick, No. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.  Files are still limited to the
MDL100's RAM capacity (minus some overhead so we have a limit of around 28K)
.
 But directories are not limited to the MDL100's RAM capacity.  
 
You have the Booster Pack's (offline) RAM & ROM with files that can be loaded
into the MDL100's "work space" which is limited to the MDL100's RAM capacity
(minus overhead).  Better to think of the Booster Pack as RAM-Disk; off line
but readily available.
