Robert - Here's what I'm thinkin'... For BASIC to access the drive, something
in it's path directs it to the drive when an '0:' is detected. Whether it
goes to the ROM is, I think, a moot point. I want to be able to load into that
path the command that sends it on it's way, and then turn it off, without
having to go into the ROM to tell it to put the alternate in the path. Am I
too metaphoric??? The ROM has a program that, when activated, interupts the
usual logic path and allows it into the drive. That interuption should be able
to be POKEd in if the right commands are known. It must have something to do
with the RST 7,12 'hook' because programs that I run which effect that are in
compatable with an active TS-DOS. Thus is the reason for my desire to turn it
on and off without entering the ROM!!! I suspect that the disk version will
use the same hooks and be of some help in figurin' this out. Your court!!
