Subj: MESSAGE BASE

Yep, it's true, I had indeed downloaded the entire message base. Right now,
I've read up to message 3782. =D It's great to be reminded of things, such as
the fact that the CLEAR command in BASIC empties the paste buffer.

Now, I have received keyboard bands, but have difficulty attempting to remove
the key covers. *sigh* But an old message indicates that I can make a keycap
removal tool out of a bent paper clip. Aha!

BTW, my parallel-to-serial interface does fine on the printer port, but my
wiring goes to a male DB25. This does let me loopback into the M100's serial
port, and I have verified that the beastie does indeed spew printer output at a
serial rate of 9600 baud. :)

Since last time I was here, I purchased a computer condom--keyboard cover. It
serves many purposes, besides safe computing. It quiets the keys. It lets me
visualize what it would have been like in the Good Old Days, when Rick bought
the club pizzas and everybody who visits his house and sees how his wife
remains beautiful while Rick... ages gracefully, in comparison with the old
photo. [Is it still there?]

Besides getting the keyboard bands, I have finally got off my duff, and got the
XR4. But it seems I'll have to pick up the phone to call EME to get the other
memory peripheral RAMdisk thingie, since it's not here on the catalog. *gasp*
[Yes, I did read the old message stating that they are built on demand, and
that a big one takes a person all day to construct.]

I also received a nice Christmas photo. But I think I am STILL waiting for the
color photo of the speed buggy. ;) Rick?
