Mike:
You did the right thing in buying the TPDD2. However, the disk
operating system that comes with the TPDD2 conflicts with everything,
including--as you have discovered--TEXT Power. My suggestion is to move up to
TS-DOS. And, since you're already using TEXT Power for printing text, I will
suggest that you consider using the ROM version of TS-DOS--assuming you are
not, already using an option ROM. The ROM version of TS-DOS allows full disk
access without RAM impact, i.e., TEXT Power will remain operational for you.
Furthermore, TS-DOS allows direct access to disk from within Text and BASIC.
You'll like that, as well as file taging, file compression, etc.

My feelings about the DVI are not good. Many of our members like the
DVI. I don't. The DVI is okay, and works as advertised, but lacks
compatibility with today's Model 100 products. And yes, it, too, uses a disk
operating system that conflicts. However, when used as is, without 3rd party
add-ons, the DVI offers some features that DVI users find useful, i.e.,
capturing to disk while online, 80 column operation, etc. My recommendation is
not spend too much for the DVI. You would be wise to talk to DVI owners for
their feedback.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
