Subj: REPLY TO MSG #388 (WELCOME BACK!)

Thanks for the welcome back. Yes, our trip was a trip! The best part was the
4 days we spent at Coloma, CA, camped out in a RV park on the American River.
Coloma is the state park/town next to Sutter's mill where Marshall discovered
gold back in the 1800s, touching off the greatest migration in human history
which brought California into the union. Coloma is a nice place to relax and
the water was perfect. I panned for gold but didn't find any. The best place
to find gold--for fun--is in Columbia, several miles South of Coloma. It's
interesting to note, gold is still relatively easy to find on the American
River if you know how to do it and have the right tools.

Paula and I relaxed. We walked the dogs and slept. I settled down on the bank
of the river several times with my Model 200 and was able to get some thoughts
down in bytes.

So, old Rick Grayson is up in Sonora. Did he move up there or just commute up
there for the play? He's pretty good. Much like yourself--speaking of which,
are you in a play again? -Rick-
