Subj: REPLY TO MSG #1536 (HOOKING M100 TO COMPUGRAPHIC)

Jay: If the plugs on the back of the Compugraphics are indeed serial then
you're on your way to communications. Here's a list of items you will need to
complete the connection:

 - serial port, specifically RS232C
 - a communications program on the Compugraphic computer
 - a null-modem cable with cross pinning as necessary
 - your model 100

Step 1: Open the manual for the Compugraphics and look for a description of the
ports on the back of the equipment. Also, look for a communications program or
method of addressing the serial port. Make sure it says RS232C or RS232, not
RS442, or RS422, or X.25, etc.--their are many methods of serial
communications.

I'll stop here. Go and confirm the port-type and programming and come back for
step 2. -Rick-
