Subj: REPLY TO MSG #4509 (WP2 COMM STUFF)
---- Your message looks fine, John. I moved it, and this reply, into the (1)Conference, public message area for group discussion. I, personally, do not use a WP-2. Yes, I did own one for awhile, but that was for testing purposes. I no longer own a WP-2, nor do I have a WP-2 manual in the shop. Things come and go around here, pretty quickly. Anyway, in response to your questions about using external modems and capturing online sessions, I would think that you could use just about any external modem with the WP-2. I believe that you had to use an external modem, anyway, since the WP-2 did not come with a built in modem. As for capturing online sessions, I am not sure but I thought that the WP-2 supported only xmodem transfers--although this seems kind of lame. For both questions, check your manual. I do recall extensive discussions on the subject of communications. In any case, I would encourage you to play with the telcom features built into your WP-2 to discover their functions. You can not hurt your computer or any host computer (like this BBS) just by playing around. In closing, let's hope one of our fellow online WP-2 members reads your message and can add some real-world answers. Good luck... -Rick-
