OK about different physical bus connector, but still same 48-pin total.  As
long as the same bus signals are present, even if pin number assignment
differs, then a connector adapter will mate a Rampac to the NEC laptop.  For
the Model 100 there's an adapter with short cable for a Rampac.  The system bus
of the M100 is a wide DIP socket under the door that covers the Option ROM and
expansion RAM DIP sockets.  I don't know how the Rampac was physically
supported where mated to the M100 - maybe just dangled on the cable but I doubt
that.

Point is that a Rampac to NEC adapter can be done (or has been done).  Of
course you will need a NEC-specific utility (equivalent to RAM100.CO or
RAM200.CO) which is a more time intense project.  Utility project aside, at the
least you'de have sector-level access in BASIC via IN and OUT statements.
