Subj: THANKS

Rick---
I got the TS-DOS ROM on Thursday and put it in the Model 102 right away.
THANKS for the great service. I also enjoyed visiting with you on the phone at
order time.

The ROM is a great addition to anyone with the ROM socket available for use. It
truly is a Disk Operating System. I really enjoyed some of the features that
were not mentioned in your review --
such as the file compression and the printing of directories. The file
compression saved me recently when I had a large document in memory, needed to
generate a quick letter and did not have the disk drive handy to save the big
document. I'm going to play with the printing of directories to try and
generate some disk labels. Have you done this and are there any tips you can
offer? I heartily recommend this ROM to anyone who might be vacillating as to
whether they should get it.

I also wanted to comment on what a GREAT place this is. I have checked out
both the CompuServe and GEnie BBs for the Tandy laptops. While CIS has a
tremendous amount of files, it is awful expensive. GEnie is cheaper but does
not have as extensive of a library. A quick review of the library here showed
what I thought was a good selection of quality, up to date programs. Well
worth the $12 investment. Also with some judicious use of long distance
telephone time, it is really no more expensive than GEnie (although 2400 bps
access would really be great--yeah I know--bitch, bitch, bitch). Also the BB
here is an extremely friendly place --
full of people that share the same values of life I hold dear -- Pizza, Beer
and the Model 100 (maybe not in the same order???).

This has gotten to be pretty long winded for me. Again thanks for the service,
support and the chat.
