Hey man, I'm breaking new ground, here. Besides, Paula definately said no
yellow, and don't make it too hot roddie." She actually said those words. So,
that's why I'm painting it Eddie Bower, Ford Explorer tan and green/blue.
Interior will be tan, as well; just like the explorer. And the pin stripping
will also be EB. It's going to look cute. But, it's what's under the hood
that counts. And to that end, I'm getting ready to add a bit more kick to the
motor. Offy, high-c heads, Iske, street cam, and progressive linkage on the 2,
94's. I'm pushing over 112 horses at 3800 rpm right now. I think I can get
another 30% out of it with these little additions.

Last year, at the Oakland Roadster Show, I spoke to the owner of Dakota Digital
about computer monitoring. He said he had a sensor set that ported out to
RS232C. I perked up at that one. Guess it's time to call and talk about that
system more seriously, now. I'm not sure where I'll mount the Model 100. I
want to visible but protected. The biggest problem is space allocation. There
ain't no space in a 23 T bucket. I could, however, mount it on an arm coming
from under the right side of the dash, leaning the computer where I could see
it, but leaving room for passenger in/out and leg room. It might look strange,
though. As it is, I'm having to mount the tach on the fire wall, over the
motor, facing back through the windsheld. Another idea would be to
dissassemble the 100 and mount, or build-in, the components. I could put the
mother board behind the seat, the keyboard on a bracket over the center
console, and the LCD over the dash. I don't know if it [the Model 100] will
function with it's components spread out so far apart. There's so little room
to work with. then again, I could set something up where the computer mounts
on the motor for show and process, but is removable for driving. Frankly, I
don't see much use for a computer while driving. That might be the best idea,
yet. Mounted as such, it would be much more obvious and perhaps get my car in
one of the mags. Who knows...
