Subj: REPLY TO MSG #5906 (D/L PROBLEM)

Bill: Let's take this by the numbers. Downloading to a Model 100 is easy.
Let's use the DEMO.BA program as an example.

1) We know that DEMO.BA is in the (4)Library (E)nter the library (M)isc
listing. Enter that path (4 E M) to start the listing. Of course you can
enter the library cause you purchased library access ... thank you.

2) We know that DEMO.BA is in the (M)isc list so once the list starts scrolling
we hit S to stop the listing, bringing up the download prompt line.

3) Enter P A DEMO.BA ...but do not hit enter, yet. At this point you are an
<enter> away from having the host send the file.

4) Tap your <F2> function key on your Model T and respond to its prompt with
DEMO ...and hit <enter>. Do not attempt to add the file extension of .DO or
.BA since the Model 100 will abort upon this entry. Just enter DEMO and hit
<enter>. This will open a file named DEMO.DO on your Model 100.

5) Now, hit <enter> to start the host sending. Sit back and relax until the
prompt line returns. At that point, tap your <F2> function key once again to
close the file.

6) Hit <enter> to leave the listing, then select <G>oodbye to leave the system.

7) Go into the DEMO.DO file in your menu and strip out the non-program lines
from the top and end of the file, <F8> to leave the file back to the menu.

8) Go into BASIC, type LOAD"DEMO ...hit <enter> and wait for the WAIT light to
stop and an OK to appear.

9) Last but not least, type SAVE"DEMO ...and hit <enter>.

These instructions are a bit long winded to remember so why don't you just
capture this message to a file for offline reading/printing. To do this, tap
your <F2> function key, type HELP, hit <enter>, select <A>gain to reread this
message, then tap your <F2> function key again when you return here. When you
log off you will have this message in a file named HELP.DO.
