Subj: REPLY TO MSG #1290 (TANDY=IDIOTS!!!)

Hi Joe--
   I'll basically back up everything you've said about Tandy's employees, even
though at this time I'm a "Computer Specialist" in one of the stores. What I've
found is that Tandy now gives lip service to support, but frown on any one
actually doing anything about it.  Since a computer specialist now gets a
whopping $4.75 an hour (if he can't make commission) they either "get in line"
(i.e. forget service) or spend a lot of time getting glared at while they are
helping customers with computer problems.  I have yet to make commission--I
enjoy figuring out computer problems.  Unfortunately $4.75 an hour doesn't cut
it and I'm just about out of the place.  This has happened to a lot of Tandy
employees, esp., since the computer centers have closed down.  If you can find
them there are still knowlegable computer people at Tandy, but it is a hit or
miss situation.  (By the way, I'm not one of these knowlegable ones, but I do
find someone who has the solution--at least we can do that.)   --Ron
