Subj: REPLY TO MSG #3376 (P100 DISTRIBUTION)

I don't know a lot about the magazine business, but one thing I read is that it
is really cut-throat. Each year scores of new magazines are established and
scores also bite the dust. Often, the ones which survive, (like most things in
life), are the ones which/who are able to adapt, change and grow with the
changing environment. (Sounds like an old sermon from world history class.)

It sounds like P100 is wisely and necessarily changing with the environment.
As "Portable Computing" or whatever the new name will be, it will address
itself to a larger audience, but I suspect the amount of M100 matierial will
continue to decrease especially with the continued introduction of other more
complex (note I did NOT say "more powerful" or "more useful") traveling
computers. Unfortunately, although there may be millions of Model T's around,
Tandy in their great "wisdom" and stupidity is not making them any more and
hence the Model T's are not promoted as they should be or even should have
been. While I will continue using my M102 until it dies and cannot be
reasonably repaired, I am afraid "all thing will pass"....... but hopefully not
for a long, long, time.
