Richard: Thanks for your helpful suggestions re: italicizing. Short of
downloading T-Word, I think I've found another way -- simply by referring to my
102 and printer manuals. I can do underlining by embedding the ASCII Codes (I
hope I'm using the correct terminology here) CTRL 0 to start and then CTRL N to
stop. Unfortunately, though, I can't seem to do the same with italics. My
printer manual says that I can begin italics with decimal Code 27 or 66; 27
translates into ESC, and 66 into B, so what I tried to do was hit CTRL P and
then ESC -- but, alas, to no avail. Also, I can't find a code listed to end
italics (other than to "select standard character, which is again a 27). Also,
I should point out that I'm not so much interested in affecting my printer as I
am embedding these codes so that when I transmit copy via modem it'll show up
on the receiving computer the way I want it to (i.e., with italics, etc.). I
was able to get the paragraphing to do this, following Robert's suggestion to
embed a CTRL P and then a CTRL J. Any ideas?
