Dick: You picked up Lapdos back in November of 91. Are you just "NOW" getting time to play with it? In any case, TPDD or TPDD2 connection to your DOS computer via Lapdos II requires NO SPECIAL SETTINGS on the drives or within the Lapdos II program. You must, however, configure your system correctly. 1) TPDD or TPDD2 to DOS uses the existing drive cable and a simple gender changer to connect to either COM1 or COM2 on the back of your DOS computer. Do not null this connection. 2) Your COM ports on your DOS computer must not share the same IRQ, i.e., no 2, COM1's, please. 3) Lapdos II does not run from within Windows, nor does it run with TSR's in the background. 4) Lapdos II will not run if it looks at a very large hard disk, like over 32M. In these cases, run Lapdos II from floppy. It will run find when looking at a floppy drive. Hope this helps... -Rick-
