Richard: After leaving that message, i had some "misgivings." It occurred to me that I probably should have called both numbers myself first, to see (if nothing else) whether they were still "valid." The law office (daytime) number is valid; but the receptionist answering the phone had no knowledge of the name Carl Oppedahl. The home number got an answering machine; whether it is Carl's or not, I can't say; but I did leave a brief message, saying that there were people belonging to Club 100 who were still desirous of obtainingh a copy of "Inside the Model 100." I haven't had any responseto date, so if that still is Carl's home number, it may be that he longer can provide any copies, or si just too busy with "other things." I don't recall for sure if the person(s) wanting "Inside trhe Model 100" had contacted the publishers, Weber Systems. My recollection is that they (he? she?) had, but that it was "out-of-print." If that is the case, I suppose the only likely source would be second-hand copies (I'd still like to know what happened to mine). If the New York Lap Users Group is still in existence, almost every member at hte time the book came out bought one directly from Carl. I'll have to check, and find out if NYLUG "carries on," or has gone the way of the dodo bird (as all good groups must, sooner or later, it seems...).
