Subj: MORE URII CRASH STUFF

Hi, Rick,

I'd like to upload several URII files in case you or Tracy are interested in
experimenting with trying to duplicate the crash I mentioned a week or so ago.

There are 12 files involved (8 T-Base, 3 T-Word and 1 CONFIG.DO) totalling less
than 10K.

I can:
 1. Upload all 12 individually;
 2. Compress them using James Yi's PACK.CO and upload a single .CP file
containing all twelve separate files. This would have to be downloaded via
Xmodem or similar protocol and unPACKed;
 3. Clump all twelve files into a single ASCII file, as you did with the URII
demo files.

Let me know which you prefer. Of course, there's also the floppy-thru-the-mail
approach!

By the way, I'm not expecting any response from you regarding this
"experiment." I'm offering the files only to save you and Tracy many
keystrokes if you're interested in trying to duplicate the conditions that led
to the crash.

I've pretty well worked out the conditions under which the crashes occur and
can avoid them simply by not using the F2/Plot option in T-Word to preview a
merged text/data file. The odd and interesting thing is that my URII ROM in
the 102's Booster Pak crashes harder (always requiring a cold start and
reinitialization) than does the URII image in my 100's extRAM, especially since
Tracy tipped me to the trick of moving the blue wire from socket 29 to 40 on
the bus.

If you think this would be a useful addition to the TecRef section let me know
and I'll write up a "case history" to accompany the files.
