Subj: REPLY TO MSG #1509 (BOOSTER PAK'S DISK <F5> FUNCTIONS)

Lex, I've been checking out my MDL 100 with booster pack (must open it up some
day to see which model it is) and I've no problem with the RS-232 port (as in
working with disk drive or linking to other machines.)

My save to cassette function works fine too. While in TEXT, do you get
anything at all when you tap the "LABEL" key?? This is the way to see the F1-F8
keys and save or load text. When trying CSAVE you have to have been in a basic
program and then BREAKed out of it (or in BASIC, then LOAD the program, then
CSAVE).

I wonder if your booster pack is defective (disk drive problem again). Maybe
it's time to do a cold start on the MDL 102 and re-introduce your booster
pack. (Is the command for you pak,

      out 5,0
      call 911

?????????) Couldn't hurt as long as you've moved anything valuable out of
your workspace.

Good luck and let me know what's happening.
