Subj: "TELLING THE STORY"
Hi Rick, I'm in the midst of test mania, but you hit a subject that I have been meaning to talk to you about. First of all DON'T GIVE UP...(please) You have a great story to tell, and a real need to tell it. Think of it this way "People won't buy what they don't know they need." To tell you the truth, I have two years of electronics...I'm attending a private college...and I'm waiting for acceptance into Immanuel School of Respiratory Therapy....--> What does this all mean? I'm a very "smart?" computer illiterate. Especially when it comes to ROM software and Model T accessories. And the ironic thing about it all is that the Model T is very much apart of my everyday life. I must say that the adverage person getting into the Model T today has some disadvantages. Books such as A Complete Step -by- Step Learner's Manual, and Things To Do With Your Model 100, are long out of production, Thousands of great articles and reviews on everything you would ever need to know about the Model 100, are turning yellow far away from the eyes of the "new generation" Model T users....And there is Radio Shack (grin)... Face it Rick you are basically everyting and more to the "new generation" of user. And don't forget that you come for a special breed of computer "hackers" that have been with "computers" and especially the Model T from the begining. I can imagine how frustrated you get in "telling the story", but you have a wonderful story..."legion"... to write about and I know your fresh and humorous style of writing will shine thru...You might come close to a Catalog the size of the LA's phone directory... But you'll do fine. Just don't ASSUME anything. I think a Video would be a great idea. It could do wonders for sales and ultimately the future of Club 100. <SKM> PS. Just a thought. As I log on to post this message, I will turn off my screen while the phone is still ringing. I know exactly where I'm going, and how to get there. But not that long ago it was a different story, I thought I read all the instructions but...? Well I stuck with it and made my mistakes and LEARNED. But I wonder how many people try and give up..or..don't try at all. Well for what ever it's worth I offer this up from the "new generation" of Model T users to the Icons of Model T users....Good luck... and as Spock would say, "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!"
