Thanx for quick reply. Would definitely like to have my programs hosted
for the "gang" (are we a gang or "mob" like the Lavender Hill mob?).
If programs aren't to be placed in library, then tell me at your
convenience exactly what to do to upload: Upload to what or who? (i.e., To
conference? To Benson? To another target?), and give me any other pertinent
data details, etc. I will likely have time over the holidays (my Xmas present
to meself is a quiet sabbatical while the rest of my family and society go
crazy with trees, lights, food, yuk). I'm sure that many of my programs will
be very useful to some parts of our gang. My calendar program was made, for
example, when one or two of the ones I foundloaded from the library turned up
giving incorrect or contradictory date data (due not necessarily just to
programming, but to unaccounted for vagaries in Julian, Gregorian, English,
and American colonial, calendars, etc. In the process of programming, I
decided to make the calendar program not only more accurate, but to serve a
cross-translation between calendar systems never done before.
Anyway -- I need an upload target, and then tell me what will happen
after I upload, so I can dream about the gang going wild with enthusiasm. Like
about the program I wrote that takes the powerful M100 and turns it into an
ordinary ancient pre-computer-era mechanical typewriter. However, that actually
is useful: It can fill out pre-printed forms getting the type dead-on to the
given lines, even when the distances between the pre-printed lines don't
conform to any known typewriter or printer line-feed standard.)
Merry Christmas to you. If you like, this can be placed on the
conference as a message "to ALL" gang members -- and if anyone wants to contact
me, use the BBS -- or faster: FAX: (306)-244-0795; TEL: (306) 244-0679 (That's
Saskatoon, Saskawhatchacallit, Canada.) END
