Subj: REPLY TO MSG #1532 (MOREMOREMORE)

Mr. Blanchar, you are very funny!- unless I read your reply incorrectly I
believe you steered me towards a book called something like NATIONAL
SEMICONDUCTOR ON THE 8086. This sounds to be very dense literature for such an
electronics idiot as I- but thanks just the same AND being the idiot I am I'll
most likely go get the *$$#@?*"@@!! thing and confuse myself. AND
MORE/MORE/MORE EVEN STILL MORE-
about this 80 character screen thing- on my <cough> PCjr <cough cough> all I
have to do when it is booting up is issue a "mode 80" command at the prompt and
VOILA!!!- it is so- which is why I thought it would be so easy on this machine.
Besides that, you mentioned or implied that this lil' o' screen mightn't be
able to handle more than sixty without sacrificing too much resolution in the
process--But, on my monitor that was hooked up to my little dinosaur pcjr
(monitor commonly known as magnavox 20" color tv), it was not so bad in mode 80
and this little screen is 100x better than that scrren was. So, to the crux
(already?), is it that the pixels are even farther apart on this screen than on
a tv?
---'til you get tired of me, Mitch. thanks again.
