The only thing I can think of, at this moment, that would cause your Mac to not send the P to pause and the S to stop is perhaps you've set your terminal program to 2400 baud, rather than 1200 baud, before dialing this BBS. We have 4, 1200 baud Hayes modems on this end. Your modem may be a 2400 baud modem. Your modem will step down, then signal your terminal program to do the same but there will always be a missmatch in timing. Thus, when you issue a P or S on your end, it's not intreperted correctly on this end, i.e., the timing is off. Recommendation: Set your terminal program to 1200 baud, manually. Don't just let it find its own level. -Rick-
