YES, you can have a program run in ROM address space by using ROMBO. It should
be a machine language program, though, and not a BASIC program. This is
because the routines that make BASIC happen are on the standard ROM. With some
work, you may be able to switch back and forth, but this would be tricky. If
your program is in BASIC, it would be a better bet to compile it into machine
language. There is a Tiny BASIC compiler in this BBS' library. I'm not sure
if anybody has used it to make a program for the option ROM, or if it calls any
routines on the standard ROM, but it's a start. Alternatively, if you have a
PC, AT, or clone, you can purchase RBASIC V4 (currently $199) from King
Computer Services, 10350 Samoa Avenue, Tujunga, CA 91042 {818-951-5240} or
RBASIC/Professional (currently $345.00). They also have C100 (for $699,
currently), which allows cross-development on the PC for C programs to run on
an EPROM on the Model 100.
