Skylar: I'll make this as simple as possible. Lapdos II (v1.24 - the last,
bug-free, version ever produced) works just fine on most DOS computers,
including most 486's at 33mhz or slower, with the following understanding:

1) Lapdos II requires that COM ports not share the same interrupt, i.e., no 2
IRQ3's please (aka 2, COM1 ports... and a built in modem shares an interrupt,
you know!!)

2) Lapdos II requires that no COM port using or TSR-type program lurks in the
back ground. In other words, boot your DOS computer "plain Jane" from a disk
and then check out Lapdos II operations.

3) Lapdos II does not like harddisks larger than 100MB in most cases. No
biggie, just swap files to and from a floppy.

You said you've used Lapdos II successfully in the past but now it won't work
on your new 486. Okay... did you stop to think that it just might be your 486,
not Lapdos II?? You've even read my words about using Lapdos II on other
486's; and of course, I've made the about comments over and over again. That's
about all I can do.
