One of the advantages (serious advantages) of these static-based portable
systems is the old KISS theory- Keep It Simple, Stupid.  I completely agree
with that!  The real advantage to larger more complex systems is obvious,
though- cross compatibility, ease of data transfer, and uniformity. I
personally like the WP-2 better than a portable because it's about the same
size and weight as a three-ring binder, and I basically bought it because I
needed an electronic notebook.  Thanks to office automation, I feel
uncomfortable writing something unless something's clicking underneath my
fingers at the same time.
