Lawrence: This is worth open discussion. Sorry to say but I am on "none" of the other services, i.e., Prodigy, Compuserve, GEnie or America Online. It's all I can do to keep up with the over 100 messages received here daily by e-mail (Club 100 and PCLD), fax, voice, letters, Federal Express, etc. But, I can offer some solutions: 1) Use our other service, Port Chiacgo's Loading Dock at 510-676-5359. That service, operated by Drew Blanchar and myself, uses 14,400 baud modems vs. the 2400 baud modems on this serivce (Club 100 bbs). 2) Call your long distance carrier (dial 00) and explore their options for calling one number, often. Also, since you are currently using a non-NTC long distance carrier, I highly recommend calling after hours and on weekends, only. With NTC you don't have to worry about that nonsense. NTC NOTE: You and everyone else will receive a mailing from me regarding NTC (National Telephone & Communications). Upon receipt of this mailing, use the form enclosed to change your Dial-1 service over to NTC and your expensive long distance charge problem will be gone. Trust me, sir.
