Mr. Robert Benson Librarian Club 100 Dear Robert, I am contacting you to see if it would be possible to obtain the source code for the program PRINT.BA/CO by Jim Irwin. I noticed that in addition to being the librarian for the club that you wrote the loader for it. I have two reasons for wanting the source code. I am trying to learn some of machine language for the M100, and that program would be a place to start. I have found that the right margin function does not work with my printer although it does work with the graph function. I don't know if this was a down load error or if I am doing something wrong. The other and main reason is that I was able to modify Wm. Kumai's PIXEL 1 and J. Holovac's adaptation of Mike Higgens' CIRCLE. programs to prepare graphics that could be printed from a word processor program. Unfortunately, the only word processor program I could use is "PORTABLE COMPUTING with the MODEL 100", the one that is in basic in the M100 Programming manual that is put out by Radio Shack. I put this on the disk GRAPHIC DESIGNER which I sent to Rick Hanson some time ago. I don't know if he forwarded it to you for consideration for the board or not. As you would suspect, the basic program is painfully slow in printing out text and even worse with graphics. So I would like to try to modify PRINT.CO to use a subroutine to print out the graphic as is done in the basic program. There does seem to be a buffer from F001 to F100 which appears to be storage when printing but the program seems to use only the first 60-70 bytes. I may be dreaming (or hallucinating) to think that I could modify the program but it does seem that it might be possible. So this is why I would like to get the original source code. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. I just got your message when I went to send the above note. Of course you are correct. I did not have a cold start and all the programs were there. I had just forgotten that I had to use FREMEM to reset MAXRAM. I did have to cold start once until I remembered. I'll just use TS-DOS which doesn't have that problem. I learn slow. Very SLOW---. I didn't check to see if the circuits were the same on the KYO85. They very well could be. But it would take a bit of doing to put the modem connections back in again. Thanks again, ---Hugh McMenamin Peoria, IL
