Hi Rick, I tried to call you but you where not in so I'll try it this way, It
might get long but I'll try to keep it short and moderately confusing. First
of I bought a Tandy 2000, yes I know it's out of date and doesn't have a hard
drive, but it came with a lot of programs with the MANUALS which really really
help. Plus I grew up on Multimate so I feel at home with it. Here's the scoop,
I use a program called Frame Work for the spreadsheet, database and most of all
the telecommunations. I have successfully uploaded from the Model 100 to F.W.
and then converted the text to the Multimate format, and for that I am pleased.
But here's the problem, I cannot seem to upload from the 2000 to the Model
100 or as I found out last night I cannot upload from the 2000 to you. I know
the problem is probably in the protocol, my choices are XMODEM, XMODEM/B, CLINK
$ Crosstalk, HAYES, IBM TEXT (mainframes), and MITE. My modem is
IBM-compatible, with Hayes AT command-set compatibility. Last night I tried
protocols 4 & 5 in trying to upload to you, I would get one line transfered
then lock up. This is basically what happends when I go from the 2000 to the
Model 100. (I have gotten the Model 100 to "listen" to my Dad's computer in the
ASCII protocol, which none of my three telecommunications have.)
     Sooo...am I stuck??...are what am I doing wrong?? Thanks...
