Subj: NEW LASER PC4

There is a little laptop called the Laser PC4 which in some respects is very
similar to the Tandy Model 100. It uses AA batteries, is about the same size,
has a 8 line by 40 column display, and some built-in programs, and the
capability of running basic programs. It sells for $249. The limit is that it
can do file transfers to a PC but has no modem capability or telecom program.
However, a NEW model is coming out in a couple of months which will have a
telecom program and built-in modem. It will sell for $279. I don't have either
of these units (I have a Tandy M100 + 18 DOS systems), but am interested in it
for business reasons. If anyone has a PC4, I would be interested in comments on
it. I also wonder if the new modem equipped Laser might be something to support
on this BBS? I would guess that porting M100 programs to it would not be very
difficult. It has 32K of memory I believe, and goes up to 128K. Any comments
are welcome. Well, bye for now from Milwaukee, WI.
