Subj: REPLY TO MSG #4117 (MULTIPLAN)

Hey... let's move this to the conference right now. I will admit that I don't
know how to reduce the size of a .CO file (Multiplan spreadsheet file) but I
could offer some ideas.

I'd start by using CHANGE.BA by Rick Perry (see Library), change the .CO file
into a HEX file (.DO), delete the non-essential stuff, convert it back to a .CO
file, then try it on Multiplan, again.

You'll need a base to start from. Start by opening a blank Multiplan file, add
nothing to it, then save it. Turn it into a HEX file and study the contents.
Next, make a sample of various Multiplan files, turn those into HEX files and
compare the differences. With in a short time you should start seeing
patterns, i.e., what changes and what stays the same. With this knowledge you
should be able to clean up just about any corrupted Multiplan spreadsheet file
with confidence.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
