Subj: REPLY TO MSG #5062 (TRS-80 MOD.1REMOTE PC SOFTWARE)
---- Marc: Let's explore your questions... --- > I need a basic program for my TRS-80 model 100 that will use TELCOM and the internal modem to dial into a IBM PC running a host program that allows remotre control of it's keyboard. Basically I want to control the IBM-PC as a a slave of my TRS-80 model 100 via the telephone connection. I understand exactly what you are asking. You want something like REMOTE-PC, or PC ANYWARE, or CARBON-COPY--all MS-DOS to MS-DOS remote control programs. With your Model 100? I know we don't have such an animal but there may be one on Compuserve. Frankly, what you're asking would be really complex and would more then likely be a machine language program for all the work it has to do. If you just need to control a PC host--like this one--that's easy. But to "act" like a PC, that's hard. --- > Can you provice this program over this bulletin board service? Of course! But again, I ain't got what you're looking for. --- > I have a PDD-2 and need to know if my IBM-PC 3.5"1.44MBFDD will write the code on a 3.5" disk readable by my PDD-2 ( which is as you know 200KBFDD). Nope! Many have tried and many have died. If it was possible I would own it, pal. The closest thing you will find is a program that will read the TPDD2 via the COM port. One such program is Lapdos II--the classic solution for just $39.95 + shipping (see catalog). -Rick- PS: Did you once live at 58 Perry St in NY?
