Subj: A FAVOR FOR THE DISABLED?

Okay....
I admit it, I am playing on your sympathy. But what choice do I have? Let
me introduce myself here...

My name is Thomas McKean, I am 26 years old, and I have the distinct honor
(if you can call it that) of being Central Ohio's Resident Recovering
Autistic. Aaaaaanndddd.... I have this small PROBLEM that maybe YOU can help
me with...

See, I have this Model 100 sitting over here. I got it for $100.00 from a
friend. (Also included all manuals, including technical, and a TPDD1. Plus a
few books...) The problem is, I have NO software for it! (Well, I *do* have
TS-DOS 2.01 but that is all...)

I bought this machine for one specific purpose. I am a nominee for the
current national board of directors of the Autism Society of America. I am
VERY active in the cause. People like me because I can TALK and most
autistics cannot. I can tell them what it is like. And they need to hear
that. Education is currently the only answer, as there is no cure as of yet.
Anyway, I got this M100 to take with me to the board meetings. The first of
which is in New Mexico in July. I figured I could use it as a "portable work
station" and stay in contact with home by way of modem. (And the DEN BBS that
I am a Co-SysOp on. 1-800-222-3273. The SysOp, Tom Bengaff, he is the one
who gave me number for this BBS.)

I am barely living over here. Food stamps abound. I am a miracle case,
that is true, but it is JUST bad enough that it keeps me from working. I do
NOT like this, but it seems there is nothing I can do. At least not at the
moment... Autistics never WERE known for having lots of money...

So what I was wondering (here it comes, you know what it is, I bet...) is if
you could see your way clear to maybe give me a month or two (a week, even?)
of access to the library. Because I have looked ALL OVER and there is NO
PLACE ELSE to get those files! :( This machine, which I believe DOES have
potential, is (literally!) sitting on my shelf collecting dust due to lack of
software. And I would like to see what it can do. (Not as much as the IBM I
am on now, I am sure, but the M100 seems to have a "flavor" all it's own that
the IBM lacks...)

Aaaanyway, just thought I would ask. Why? Because I am desparate over here
in Columbus.... Thanks for your time. :)
