Subj: REPLY TO MSG #7068 (UNUSED PART OF RAMPAC DIRECTORY)

Regarding "work up a rather complete display and application area for RAMPACs",
you're welcome to all I have. Wish Paul Globman had responded to me about
allowing his RAM100 code to be a "relocated, invisible, warm-key invoked"
service in a suite of 3 services in an Op system extension. He just never
responded beyond his concerns stated in our telephone conversation - sent him
stuff to belay his concerns, but no response.

BTW: Also did TS-DOS as "relocated, invisible, warm-key invoked" - just for
kicks. Did same with Tandy's MAXRAM protected FLOPPY, as a HIMEM service, and
it works fine as well. Both survived "cold-starts": forced by CTRL&BREAK&RESET
and continued to work by CALL4146,,-180n from BASIC which is the emergency
back-door invocation (warm keys lost by cold-start). Don't need these - got a
700-byte Disk service with batch capability - just did them for kicks.

So I'm left with only 2 services that can be public domain: disk I/O and file
compression - warm keyed from CODE and SHIFT. Need a third service for GRPH
warm key that makes sense in a suite of three - Rampac I/O would have been a
natural.

At any rate, anything I've got relating to Rampac is yours for the
display/application area Rick. Maybe I could supply the "tools" and "how-to"
so an owner of RAM100.CO or DOS100.CO could "roll their own" service suite?
Certainly legal for them to do so... hmmmmm.
