Subj: REPLY TO MSG #5588 (TAPE STUFF)
---- Ah! A helper! Wow ... I like it. Okay, here's the plan. I load the tape programs and store them to disk. I then convert them to ASCII via SAVE"filename.DO" for .BA programs and CO2BA.BA for the .CO programs--they end up as .DO files. I use the documentation to annotate each file. I then, laboriously, key in the documentation, check it for spelling and format it for Model 100 use, i.e., no end-of-line (80 chr) characters (0D0A). My tools are... * Professional Write v2.1 for input and spell check * PC Write v2.71 for repagination and end-of-line character removal * LHARC v1.13c for DOS users ARC file... 1) Copy all the files into a separate subdirectory then issue the commands 2) Create a filenamed ! with all the annotations about the files... 3) lharc a %1 *.* 4) lharc s /x %1 5) del *.lzh ---- So, what do I need most? 1) Keying documentation and spell check 2) Offloading files from tape to disk 3) Annotation of what the files are I will "gladly" to the repaganation and end-of-line character removal and arcing for DOS users. It's fun work but takes time. I really appreciate the offer. If you really want to help, let me know, I will send one program at a time for conversion, along with a disk for storage, and a return addressed, stamped mailer. And, since you're a fellow DOS user, I will send a DOS disk for storage. Thanks... -Rick-
