Subj: REPLY TO MSG #2798 (ROSS PEROT)
I would never dump a message just because I "may" disagree. In fact, I concur with your statement about "knowing" Perot enough to be for him, even though you are not too crazy about the other two. I share your opinion to this end. However, unlike yourself, am not concerned with whatever stance he takes on the "issues". I really don't think it matters which way he goes, given that our government is actually controlled by so many others. I really don't feel the president has that much power all by themselves. My "total" concern is with "tone"! We "need" to set a different tone in this country. And that tone, as I call it, must be set at the top. Some call it leadership. Some feel that electing a non democrat or republican will send the message that we the people want change. Others feel so "isolated" if not "rejected" by the current system that electing Perot is, for them, a way of regaining power. On the other hand, many folks, like yourself, want change but want some assurances as well. I understand and respect your concerns. And, you may be very right in those concerns. We'll just have to trust in the process, lobby for our opinions and concerns, and let it all work itself out in the wash.
