Subj: SAVE DIFFS

So, I've wondered this for a while.... I leave a program or document using
<F8> and it saves the file to ram- no problem. Or, I can select (Save) as in
TEXT, and it Clicks, Clicks, and saves the file to RAM again, after I wait,
wait, etc.... So what's the difference? Is one less volatile? Or is one just
slower? (which I doubt, even though both seem to work fine)? (M100, 24k, pdd1)
