Subj: BOOSTER PACK CONNECTION CABLE
Just shortly after I contacted you about the missing cover for the bottom of the computer, I re-located mine. Thanks for the tentative offer, though. Unfortunately, as I was replacing the batteries in the bottom of the computer, one of the small corner pins on the large rectangular connector which plugs into the bottom of the computer got broken off. It appears to have been bent before, because I just barely brushed it, and it crumbled off. If that isn't bad enough, when I disconnected the computer from the Booster Pack, the computer would no longer power up. Each time I turned it on, I heard the sound of what appeared to be a relay triggering once inside the computer case. Whether on batteries or on AC\DC adapter---- no luck, so off to the Radio Shack store in hopes of having it repaired. Do you do repair work on the special cables which go between the Booster Pack and the computer ? If so I'd like to either get it fixed (assuming Tandy can fix the computer) or buy another cable. If all of this can happen correctly, I'll want to buy several more 32k chips to fill up the Booster Pack. If no fix is possible for the computer, I'll have to look into a different machine. Thanks for any help you can provide.
