Subj: REPLY TO MSG #650 (MODEL103?)

No... Tandy has "never" talked about a Model 103. But, many, many technical
and non-technical Model 100 users have long talked about a next-version
wish-list, i.e., Model 103. In fact, Michael Daigle, one of the contributing
editors of Portable 100 Magazine, talked at length about "his" version of the
wished-for Model 103. Again, Tandy has never been a part of the Model 103
discussion. Please rule Tandy out of the picture, completely.

The basis of a Model 103 is quite straight forward. Keep all the good parts of
what we all love about the Model 102 and add those things that we all feel
would enhanse Model 102 computing. Example list follows...

 - 40/80 chr screen toggle (back lite)
 - full function word processing like the WP2
 - more memory
 - built in disk drive
 - built in BASIC... enhansed with compiler
 - multiple ROM adaptor
 - multiple COM ports
 - built in 9600 baud, tone dialing modem with advanced protocols
 - loooooong battery life!
 - light weight but full size, "quiet" keyboard
 - etc...

Care to add your wish-list? -Rick-
