Burton: Yet another 2 cents on merging incoming .DO files.

Bringing code directly into BASIC is tricky. You must use a slow baud rate and
make sure both computers honor XON/XOFF flow control. A faster method exists,
however.

There may be times when you want to merge code into an open .DO file. While in
an open .DO file on your Model 100, tap your <f2> function key, LOAD AS, enter
COM:98N1E <enter>, then send the ASCII from the DOS computer at 19200 baud.
The speed will scare you!! But of course, you can only do this with .DO
(ASCII) files; not .BA or .CO files.

Lapdos II transfers all file types via xmodem protocol at 19200 baud and is a
lot faster, easier, and totally trouble free. Wouldn't it be exciting to move
tokenized .BA files, or even machine language .CO files between your Model 100
and your DOS computer without pain?
