Subj: REPLY TO MSG #5025 (KEYBOARD SILENCERS)

I tried the dental bands.  Slight differences in band thickness made some keys
too stiff to strike.  It was a hassle opening the hood (poping off keytop) to
change a belt (band) each time I noticed the next offensive stiff key.  I
didn't have the patience to keep working toward balanced stiffness across all
keys so I took them all off.
 
Perhaps if you can get bands that have little variation in thickness you can
avoid the problem I experienced.
