Subj: REPLY TO MSG #1021 (SARDINE)

Hi Lex. Interesting that you should ask about Sardine, the only really good
spel checking program for the Model 100/102/200/NEC8201. This last week marked
a milestone in the quest to bring Sardine back to market. In 1989/90 I was
granted the rights to revive, manufacture, sell and support all of the old
Traveling Software product. 90% of it is now back on the market. I pay a
royalty to TS for the rights. Sardine was not one of those products that I
gained rights too, due to its ownership by Wang Corp, not TS. I have
negociated for two years with Wang and TS for the rights. Last week, the final
parts came together, including the ability to copy the propriatary dictionary
disk, thanks to Robert Benson, out online librarian--he always has a few tricks
in reserve.

Sardine is back!

There are 6 version of the fish. They are as follows:

 M100/102 disk
 M100/102 ROM
 M200 disk
 M200 ROM
 NEC8201 disk
 NEC8201 ROM

Traveling Software originally shipped Sardine with the program disk, a
dictioinary disk, a pocket dictionary, and a manual. The ROM version included
T-Word on the ROM (no program disk since all programming was on the ROM).

I have not yet made copies of the manual, so don't know what just a manual will
cost. Ask me next week and I should know since I will have stock on all items
by then.

In the mean time, you can call the ROM by going into BASIC and issuing the
command CALL 63013,1. Once in a document, you activate Sardine with GRPH F for
file or GRPH W for word. This should get you going. -Rick-
