Hi Bill... thanks for the compliment.

 > I enjoy this Bulletin Board: it is fast, responsive, and largely intuitive.
What program is it?

This host program is TBBS by eSoft, Inc., Aurora, CO. It's running on a MS-DOS
computer but was originally designed for the older Model I's under Newdos 80.
That was a long time ago (circa 1979/80). Except for about two years hacking
around with The Green Machine" host software, I've been a TBBS user. My first
package back in 1980 cost $250. Today, this same program--the one I have
running here--costs $895 new. I'm running 4 lines so had to go with the 16
line setup. That's okay cause we use this same host for PCLD in Concord.
Here's the cost break out for TBBS.

 TBBS 2.2M[2] ..... $ 295.00
 TBBS 2.2M[16] .... 895.00
 TBBS 2.2M[32] .... 1,495.00
 TBBS 2.2M[64] .... 1,995.00

I'm also using the SYSOM modual for realtime online maintenance. That costs
$99.95.

Over at PCLD we also use TDBS and a ton of optional programming. TDBS cost us
an additional $995.00 to match our 16 line set up. When we expand to 64 lines,
TBBS will cost us $1,995.00 and TDBS will cost us $2,495 ... and so one, and so
on, and so on. It's only money.

 > What baud rates does the board support?

This computer is an old XT. Attach is a digiboard with the older UART chips.
My top reliable speed is 2400 baud. If I opt to purchase newer 14,400 baud
modems I will have to buy a new digiboard--this is a very old unit--and all new
modems. Don't hold your breath. This is not going to happen to this BBS
anytime soon if at all.

In Concord, at PCLD, we support 14,400 baud. If you have a DOS computer you
will enjoy the service. The number for Port Chicago's Loading Dock, Inc. in
Concord, CA is 510-676-5359. Myself and Drew Blanchar are the owners. I am
the CEO in charge of business operations and marketing, and Drew is the CFO in
charge of operations. We're a young business with plenty of potential, and are
already making waves in the online service community.
