If you have bootable disks with other operating systems you may duplicate them with the backup utility on FLOPPY.CO for the tpdd, and FLOPPY with BACKUP.BA for the tpdd2. > Wonder if a PDD1 would accept a PDD2 boot diskette? Nope! The tpdd will not boot, read or write a tpdd2 formatted disk. The tpdd2, on the other hand, will read a tpdd formatted disk but, here too, the tpdd2 will not boot or write to a tpdd formatted disk. Furthermore, neither the tpdd or tpdd2 formats are compatible with MS-DOS, OS/2, System whatintheheckversionareweuptonowanditstilldoesn'tworkright for the MacAttack, CP/M, Unix & variations, RX11, etc., etc., etc. Now ... just for grins ... if you think the tpdd vs. tppd2 thing is crazy just go back and read your pc-history books for how it was before MS-DOS. There were over 300 disk formats for CP/M, more for Apple II's, Atari, Commodors, TRS-80 Model I, III, II. There were three sizes, i.e. 8", 5.25", and the new 3.5" in the wings. Then you had to know if yu wanted single denisty vs. double density, single sided vs. double sided, and soft sectored vs. hard sectored. And, last but not least, there you are at a Byte Shop trying to figure out on which disk format to purchase WordStar by MicroPro. God! I loved those days! GEEKS RULED!!!! :) PS Did you know that some of the WordStar control key sequences work on your Model "T" ... huh? Did'ja know dat? Did'ja, did'ja?
