Subj: REPLY TO MSG #2577 (JOES RGB COAT)
Whether you go by the old tradition of it being a "big-sleeve d" coat or the KJV-English concept of many colours, we're talking about a garmet that was impractical for labor.....Dad allowed Joe a life of liesure and good threads while the older boys toiled. And in the ironic twist, Joe got to Egypt as a working slave and ended up in the comfortable chair in the leadership offices. Two protestant lessons here: 1) If you're comfortable and rubbing it in, others around you are going to get jealous....share your good as well as your labors....make it a win-win situation if Christianity is your goal. 2) If you suffer and work you will be rewarde by higher powers.... not Christian ideal but "power over God" (power of prayer?) teaching....bargaining theology. PS: you can always carry this thread over to my BBS at (510) 827-0804. BCnU, -dB
