Rick...while $499 for the 1100FD is the cheapest RS has sold that PC for, it is
not really a good deal. I recently got a TI Travel Mate 2000 for $799 with the
external floppy drive. The TI (also sold as the Sharp 6220) is a 286 (the 100
is an 8086) with built in 20 meg hard drive. It weights about 4.4 pounds and
is about 8.5x11 and an inch thick. It has a VGA screen (the 1100 is CGA) and
is an all around better PC. I don't think you'd be happy with the 1100 because,
unlike the M100, there isn't much software available for MS-DOS PCs that will
run on a single 720K floppy.
