I'm sure you can help. -Rick- [Original Message Follows] Rick, I think the gentleman who does the XR4 is Tracy Allen, but I'm not positive. This message is sort of directed to him. I decided to try to put ROM TS-DOS into the XR4. I had no trouble partitioning a bank for ROM, but when it came time to put the ROM image using XRROM.BA (am I right?). At any rate, I was using the correct program. I was surprised to find that the image had to be saved to an external device. I saw it could be saved to the Tandy Portable Disk Drive, using RD2. What on earth is that? Is that the FLOPPY program that comes with the PDD? If not, how can I get my mud hooks onto a copy of it, so that I can make ROM images as desired? I might want to put in Multiplan. Anyway, the other options don't seem to matter to me. BTW, I want to tell you about my getting into WordPerfect. Since I used to have a Model 4, I used LeScript from Anitek Software for my word processing. When I went to MSDOS, I got the MSDOS version. The data files can be transferred between both versions with no fuss nor muss. I got into WordPerfect after I got took Beginning and Advanced WordPerfect class and found out just how much it will do and how easy it is to use. I was a full time student during last fall term, so I got it on a student discount for $135.00. I haven't regretted it.
