I have been told that the reason the 102 is limited to separate banks of 32K
has to do with its ROM being unable to handle anything larger for all sorts of
computer-type reasons. My question is this, excusing my ignorance, would it not
be possible to replace the 102's present 24&8K RAM chips with, say, a couple of
128K RAM chips and then access this memory contiguously (is this spelled
right?) by replacing the option ROM with a new operating system chip that
completely bypasses the 102's built in ROM and runs the 102 as if it WERE that
ROM. Maybe we could add a TPDD access program and a couple of other things.
