Yes, Jeff, that is the nature of life in a consumer-driven economy, i.e., we
are on our own.  I, too, sometimes forget the "facts of life" in my daily
dealings.  It's easy for any of us not to stop and consider the dynamics of
each and every situation during discussions, or in real-time.  It's much easier
to critisize then to compliment; easier--perhaps more natural--to condemn then
to praise.  We also tend to look for simple answers to complex dynamics, and to
seek scapegoats.  Couple this negative-biased, reactionary view point with our
self-serving nature disguised in altruisms, oftentimes spoken in colloquialisms
and conjecture, and we get a propagation of ill-conceived, misconceptions
driving yahooistic poltiics negative to the positive advancement of society.
In other words, BS breeds BS, even in the face of truth.  It's a sad state of
affairs, anyway you look at it.  -Rick-
