Subj: REPLY TO MSG #5998 (LAPDOS PROBLEM)

I have no problem pipping LAPDOS.BA but I have "bue coup" problem getting
LAP.EXE to "catch the wave" timing when a 33 MHz is used. After many
invocations, it will finally catch and then all is well. Note that I use my
own NUL modem cable and it does differ a bit from the "official LapDOS" cable.
With an old 10 MHz XT it catches first time.

I've used MODE SPEED= command to slow down the 33 MHz machine with the
following results: the slower I go the more likely it is to catch but then the
more likely it is that transfers are error-free. At SPEED=MAX (33 MHz) it's
hell to get it to catch but once that's done I've never had any error during
file transfer.
