Subj: AUTO LOGON & LAPDOS II
Hi, Rick, Hey! I'd love to automate my logon (re: Jan. 24 newsletter). Problem is, none of the methods I've tried (yours and those in the Tandy manuals) works with my Booster Pak's 1200 baud internal modem. Also, I've had no luck getting the stock, 300 baud modems on either my 100 or 102 to work. I suspect the direct-connect cable (cat. no. 26-1410), but no one at Radio Shack can tell me whether it's configured properly. Here's the pin configuration: -Both red leads to pin no. 3; -Green lead from the silver cable to pin no. 1; -Green lead from the beige cable to pin no. 7. I used a multimeter to ensure that all jack-to-pin connections had continuity, and the in-line connector works fine. Gotta clue? Also, I just began using LapDOS II with a PC-to-Model 102 direct link. I noticed that when using Wildcopy from 102-to-PC to copy full or nearly full 102 directories a "No Response From Drive" message pops up occasionally, resulting in partial transfers for certain files. If I Copy the same files "manually" they transfer intact. Is this typical of Wildcopy? Also, when I run LAPDOS.BA from my 102 (with Booster Pak) a FC? error in line 0 or 1 flashes briefly, but the program seems to run OK. <Lex>
