Just for general interest, my color graphics printer just gave up the ghost and
I determined that the little nylon gears on the drive motor shaft(s) were
responsible. Remembering an article in 'PORTABLE 100' magazine a few years
ago, I referred to same, and sure enough a part number was listed. I have a
real swell Radio Shack manager in one store here (Seattle) and he ordered the
parts. There were a lot of return calls due to some inept R.S. parts person,
but eventually the two gears arrived. SO, even though the unit has been
discontinued about 5 years now, parts ARE available. Maybe the battery door
for the 100 is still in stock somewhere...hope for whomever here needed one.
By the way, the CGP-115 works great now, and I DO have a service manual for it
if anyone needs info on parts. (I have the new part number for the gears
too...)
