Tracy, Thanks for filling me in on ROM trigger files. Now that I understand
what they are I could easily change my program to search for all such files and
get rid of them, except as you say there might be other files that someone
might want to keep. Another reason is that no matter what ROM (ROM2, Sardine,
or Super) I load into extRAM I can access it by placing my cursor on "Super" on
the menu and hitting return. The only problem I've encountered is with the
"WORDS.DO" file in Sardine. Other then that T-Word, ROM2 and SuperROM all work
as they should. If N2X killed all ROM trigger files every time it ran I'd have
to go into basic and do a call 63012 every time. I suppose I could keep a short
basic program in memory to do just that. In fact, now that I think about it a
good solution might be to change my program to search for and kill all ROM
trigger files and then call N2X. I could call it N2X.BA, hide N2X.CO and it'd
be pretty much transparent to me. Then I could have a short basic program call
something like ROM-T (for ROM trigger) that did a call 63012. Yea, I like that.
Sounds like the easiest way to handle it. see ya and thanks Harv
