Subj: REPLY TO MSG #2597 (ROSS PEROT)
I concur. I, too, want a business-oriented president. Ross proved himself by building and running a successful business. I, too, like a person who does "not" have all the answers. The questions are far too complex for simple answers and slogans. Not forming conclusions, opinions or placating before all the facts are in is the "right" way to think. Right too, on the media pulling stuff out of contex. The media is out of control in this country. I've heard them say, "If you dislike the message then kill the messenger." As if they carry no responsibility. Bull! The news media in this country, especially via television, shape the ethics of this country. What gives the media the right to distort and bias anything or anybody; especially presidential candidates. I want to hear more Perot and less of the others. I've heard the others before. Every 4 years they sound the same; the faces change. Perot is different. I recall something Ross said. Something like, "As president, I would not spend very much time in Washington, DC. It's not a real place (sic)." When I heard that I jumped for joy... but Paula was closer (grin). I said, "YES" at last, someone who understands there is a country out here; filled with people seeking opportunities, and expecting a "supporting" political and legal system. I believe that Ross Perot understands the issues. I don't want answers from Perot, I want action. I believe that he will give me the action I'm looking for. And if not, well at least it will be interesting for a change. -Rick-
