My first system was a CompuColor. Wonder screen - 19" color monitor and it
wasn't CGA, either. Expensive beast!!! Bought a S-100 and wire wrapped a few
others. Yep, remember the Byte stores (even had issue 1 or Byte magazine and
Kilobaud), and using tty terminals as printers to play "Wampus" on. I remeber
70K formatted floppy drives at $1,000 each. Talked with some of the current
biggies on the phone in their garages when I needed tech support - Gates, Jobs,
et al. Wish I'd formed solid friendships with them. :)

Sol, Processor Technology (the orange toaster), Imsai, Altair, North Star, et
al. Heck, I just sold my Vector Graphics (48K with dual 70K 5.25 floppies) to a
guy a couple years ago - yep, had it that long. As a matter of fact. I still
have the Panasonic TV/Monitor from a Sol system sitting on top of my fridge. I
use it as a TV. That was when Panasonic decided to keep the tuner et al in
their monitors. A flick of the switch and you had TV. Loved it then and 14+
years later it still works perfectly.
