Subj: REPLY TO MSG #6647 (BBS SOFTWARE)

Hello again, Walt. Looks like you and I "live" online these days. FYI: I'm
still going over your top 50 list. Funny stuff!

To your question about what I'm using for the Club 100 BBS: The answer is TBBS.
And, if you'd like some interesting reading, I recently explored the history of
the Club 100 BBS as a response to Craig Hallman, here online ... of course, he
hasn't been back to pick up his reply but that's the way it goes, sometimes.

Thanks to your request, I went back, found my message to Craig and copied it to
the (T)op menu (H)elpfiles, file #17 ... where it will stay for evermore!

Setting up a BBS is an adventure...
Growing it has its up's and down's...
Managing it is a ton of work...

but...

...keeping it going, year after year, after year, after year takes complete
stupidity without any regards to life as we know it.

I recently made a comment to Mike Nugent (Tri-Mike Network East, AKA "Nuge",
once an editor for Portable 100 Magazine, and a good friend). I said something
like, "You know, I sometimes fear that I will be editing an e-mail message and
die before being able to hit <S>end!" Wherein he replied, "Write a macro that
hit's <S>end when your head hits the keyboard." To that I replied, "Ah yes!
It's the old 'head hits keyboard, sends message' macro. I know it well!"

Ohooo... I'm not feelin..... "S M A C K!"

 WAITFOR "S M A C K!"
 TRANSMIT "S"
