Hi Tom ... yep ... an Internet-accessable Club 100 is in the works ... but
please don't look for it before mid-summer. It will be one of the clubs
attached to www.The-Dock.com, a new addition to Port Chicago's Loading Dock,
Inc.'s online publication offerings. Our "Interactive Edition" is available at
510-676-5359 modem 14.4 baud. The-Dock.com will be our "Internet Edition."

Setting up any online presents is part fun but mostly a ton of work and worry,
and then ... constant, daily work ... as is any news service ... as you know!

Regarding your comment ...

 > Does this mean we'll have email-ready Tandy 100's?

You already have that ability with a SLIP account to the Internet network if
your provider offers SLIP. Check it out! :)

To your comment...

I am a VERY STRONG BELIEVER that information is the result of the interaction
of people and thus must be kept free for all to give and take ... encouraging
us all to participate. After all, this is the basis of the 1st ammendment to
our constitution which I take seriously ... and my religion is based on one
rule: Treat everyone with good will at all times.

Anyway, to your question: I think what would be best are "ideas,
recommendations and examples in HTML, CGI, JAVA, FTP, ListServe, etc. that if
incorporated into the site would make it a useful, fun and interesting place to
use ... not just visit. In other words, I need input. Tools I have. Examples
are most welcome! Rest assured, I will incorporate every piece of information
from the BBS into the WEB site ... and then some ... as time and energy and
assistance afford ... yet another place for cooperation ... especially if we
include an FTP service.

A higher fee? Except for library access on this BBS, I don't see the need for
any fees whatsoever for accessing and participating on either the BBS or the
WEB site ... unless you can suggest services, etc. that might be best offered
via some fee-base. I'm a little weak on vision right now due to my current
overwhelm.

All the best ... -Rick-
