That's interesting about the 100's OS closing up all the blank space in RAM
when a file is erased. I didn't know that. That OS is pretty busy, huh?
Lot's of file reallocation going on all the time.

I talked to David the day after leaving the BBS message. He said the he tried
using the cold start recovery program, but had not dumped all the files,
beforehand. The file created contained many copies of a small portin of the
text he wanted. It went over and over again; like it was looping. Any ideas
about what actually happened under the above conditions?

Also, what are all the starting positions for smaller machines, i.e., M100/102
8K, 16K, 24K, 32K, M200 24K. I had this written down someplace but could not
find it when I was looking around the other day. I've got a ton of old threads
from the mid 80s when Bill Templeton was banging around here regarding his work
in the RAM area. I might dig that old stuff up and throw it online to see if
anything is useful. -Rick-
