Darren: Your 102 is a great computer but having the manual is a good idea. I
have a few Model 102 manual sets laying around. $10 will get you one. As for
cables--you're at the right place. The catalog coming your way has what you
are looking for.

Telcom is easy: Once you enter Telcom, you will note the STAT setting in the
upper left hand corner. It might read M7I1E,10 pps. To change the STAT simply
press the function key with the word STAT above, and key in something like
M8N1E,10 pps. This particular stat setting is best to go online with. The "M"
stands for the internal modem. Any number in that first position stands for a
baud rate--wait until yu get your manual for all the details.

To dial out from Telcom, simply tap the function key that says CALL above,
enter the number followed by the <> symbols--if the number you're calling is
another computer. If you're using your 102 as an auto dialer--usually via the
ADRS.DO file created with the TEXT program, containing names and number--you'd
press the function key with FIND above, enter a search string and hit <enter>
<enter>.

An example of an entries for Club 100 in your ADRS.DO file.

This is just a start. You've got a wonderful bunch of stuff to learn about
your Model 102. You'll be busy learing for years.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
