Subj: BOOSTER PAK INTERNAL MODEM

Hi, dB,

Does your Booster Pak have an internal modem? Mine has a WorldPort 1200,
although I don't know whether it's a TravelComm or WorldLink (nothing printed
on the circuit board). Anyway, I'm trying to modify one of the programs from
the Telecom section of the Library (QTOUCH.BA, similar to QHAYES.BA), without
success. Keep getting "External Modem Not Connected" message.

Although it's an internal modem, I doubt the computer knows the difference,
since it's only link is via the RS232 port, same as with a modem that actually
resides outside.

I suspect the problem is either (1) the program doesn't support DTR, or (2) the
INP(187) statement needs modification. I've tried resetting DIP switches to
get the program to "hear" that the modem is on - still no luck. I'm fairly
ignorant of Input Port settings, so I haven't tried adjusting that.

I'm not looking for an answer, just a clue. Am I on the right track? No
hurry. This is sort of a crossword puzzle to me; I don't actually NEED an
auto-dialer, but I'd sure like one!
