Subj: REPLY TO MSG #1 (THANKS)

Thank "YOU" for the nice words, Greg. I especially like the CIS and GEnie
comparison. CIS and GEnie are massive, expensive services run on mini
computers. By the very nature of the mini/mainframe operating systems, and
system-oriented applications--and all the overhead and security, etc.--they
will probably always be more complex then a microcomputer-based bulletin board
system, like ours. Nevertheless, the presentation of an online service starts
with the attitude and philosophy of management. Management sets the tone. One
CIS and GEnie, management is "protective" oriented and dedicated to serving
broad interests. Our simple service is Tandy laptop oriented and dedicated to,
as you put it so well, pizza, beer and laptops. The only thing we need to
protect is our right to have some fun and enjoy each other's company.

Glad you like TS-DOS on ROM. As I said in the article, it's my favorite ROM
since I always move my "stuff" over to my DOS machines with Lapdos. I never
used the print-label feature, although I have tried it. My pile of files
changes so much that I do not use labels at all; but then, my computer-use is
rather fluid. The print-label is a nice feature for stable disk contents,
where you would want a lable, but might be just as effective where you would
print disk contents to small paper, then slip that paper in with the diskette
(assuming the use of a jacket, or perhaps a simple rubber band).

Anyway, thanks for the nice words... -Rick-
