Subj: REPLY TO MSG #4067 (2 IDEA! QUESTIONS)

Good questions, Mike. I have not played with the idea of imbedding fonts in
Idea!. Excuse the pun but it's a good... idea! Your solution works for now,
and is probably how I'd approach it--using a pre-setup program to prep the
printer. I don't have a "better" solution at this moment but will make a
Post-It Note to myself to research that feature; however, tweeking the
CONFIG.DO file may, indeed, be the answer.

Idea! files are structured ASCII files. I don't see why you can't just go into
an Idea! file with TEXT and cut out the part you want to transfer to another
Idea! file. As long as you maintain the structure of the file, Idea! should
still be able to work with that file. Suggestion: Make a copy of your active
Idea! data file; so you can play with it without worry. Next, study the file
stucture until its various parts are obvious. Then, cut out a portion and
paste it to another file; then test the donor file with Idea! to see if its
maintained its integrity. Document your procedures for futhre reference. This
is what I would do if I were sitting there with you as a consultant. But then,
I would be the learner, not you.

Good luck... -Rick-
