Good question ... I have no idea what the status of copyright is for mags that
go bye bye in the night!

We need legal advise, or at the very least, an underground (hint hint) plan of
action! Ouch! Did I say that? ;)

Yeah right! Like the Red Army will burst in and blow us away for making copies
of articles about a 13 year old computer. Hey ... it could happen! However,
aren't copyrights good for "X" time period? If so, what is "X"? For that
matter, what is "Y" and why, if we know "X" and learn about "Y" do we care
about "Z"? ...and how in the heck did I get going on this XYZ thing? Wierd!

So .. to CD or not to CD ... that is the question.

I don't see a problem scanning images, one per page, but how do we build a
search engin? We sure can't search thrugh graphic images. Searches are ASCII
based. Someone would have to go through each and ever publication, page by
page, listing and commenting on all the articles and stuff ... boring!!! Or,
we just put the stuff on CD and let it go at that! I like it.

Another idea is that we figure out just how much stuff we're talking about,
then contact scanning firms for a quote. Then we contact CD firms for a quote.
We put the numbers together based on scanning, number of copies, distribution,
marketing, warehousing, etc. and see if the cost per unit is reasonable. If
yes, we start selling until we make our quota. Once the money is raised, we
make the product and distribute. I like it.

See ... be careful what we think about. For every idea God gives us we are
also given the tools to make it a reality, and the freedom of choice to choose
our realities. Choose wisely! -Rick-
