John:
I understand the problem fully, having had "stuff" in my menu and not
able to get rid of it. You're in luck, however, since you have 2 ways to save
your files, i.e., Lapdos or TS-DOS.

 1) Save all your files...
 2) Cold start your computer... there are several ways to do this:
        - hold down your CTRL and BREAK keys, tap your RESET key and release...
or
        - hold down your CTRL and BREAK keys, turn your computer off, then on
again... or
        - turn off the MEMORY POWER switch on the bottom and wait about 5
minutes... or
        - there's a CALL you can do in BASIC but I forgot it... so skip this
method for now... (grin)
 3) After the cold start, reinstall Lapdos and TS-DOS and all will be well.

You will, in any case, have to reset your time, date and day. Just in
case you've lost the instructions, here's how it's done.

Go into BASIC and issue the following commands...

TIME$="hh:mm:ss" ...replace hh, mm and ss with the actual hour, minutes and
seconds

DATE$="mm/dd/yy" ...replace mm, dd and yy the the actual month, day and year

DAY$="???" ...replace the ??? with the day of the week, i.e., Mon, Tue, etc.

Hope this helps... -Rick-
