Excellent question, John. You know, one of the best terminal programs ever built was Procomm Plus v2.0 by Datastorm. It is not only a really cool terminal program but it has an extremely capable host mode (AKA BBS) built right in. You simply call the program then call the host mode. I am absolutely sure that the Model 100 can log right into it ... been there, done that. Here's an idea: Let's say you write a batch file that, instead of launching your menu upon startup, it launches Procomm Plus in host mode. Then while you're away, your computer will always be in host mode ... even if there is a power failure and the power comes back on. There's probably a way to run the host mode via a batch file ... I don't know for sure but there has to be a way ... and I have some ideas, along these lines. Anyway ... if you only had the old, 1990 version 2.0 of Procomm Plus. You'd be home free. And gueess what? Hey John ... go look in the (7)Upload (D)ownload list ... at the top of the list. There you will find a self-deARCing file. Download that file using ymodem or better. Then, go offline, copy the file to a subdirectory called PCPLUS and run it. It will deARC and expand all the files enclosed. You'll have to do some study and play around but I'm sure you'll get it going just fine. I'll help you somewhat but I don't have the docs. I just play but have used it for years. All the best ... -Rick-
