That's a good one... Groundhogs have no character. Good one, James.

I'm with you... no computer, or other device, today, offers the unique features
of the Model 100 series. Indeed, the early days were fun--due in part to the
time in history as much as the machine.

The early 80's were the early IBM days, and early Apple Mac days. Modern
professionals were just then having their eyes opened to computers. Everything
was fresh and new. Things were simple and straight forward. Learing computers
was fun. Folks were self motivated.

Today, the microcomputer marketplace lacks freshness--in the minds of people.
Sure, we've got more toys and wonderous stuff available then you can shake a
stick at--and the pressure to have it all is at an all time high. But ...
questions remain ... and the days of starting out "simple" are gone.

The Model 100 was a "cult" computer--said in a nice way. It has a small,
devoted following. Unfortunately, new folks to computing generally do not
appreciate its features, nor will they be supported by modern marketing towards
older, simpler tools. And that's the way it is.
