Subj: REPLY TO MSG #6104 (TAPE RECOVERY TECHNIQUES)

Thanks for checking out that TAPE.DOC, Andre, I appreciate that.

Tried Update #1, but no luck there either. Funny thing is, when I just try
loading from tape, in TEXT (ie the normal way, without the TAPE.DOC programs),
I get a "SKIP filename" msg on the Model 100 screen (where filename is my
filename). Then a few seconds of silence til it finds the next file on the
tape, and I get another "SKIP filename" msg, and so on.

Maybe those files are beyond retrieval. No biggie, it just would have been
nice to have it work. As a test, I created a dummy file, several sentences of
"The quick brown fox, etc." and saved that to tape, and retrieved it. Worked
fine, so I know my CCR-82 is working, the heads are clean, the cable must be
good, etc, etc.

Thanks for your feedback!

Regards,
