I have a fairly nice Model 100, but the "=" key doesn't work.  To fix the problem, I de-soldered one of the redundant "Shift" keys and soldered that key where the "=" key was.  Unfortunately, the key still doesn't work.  I replaced the "Shift" key with the old "=" key and it works fine.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Having a problem with the "=" key:

Unfortunately, the key still doesn't work. I replaced the "Shift" key with the old "=" key and it works fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Probably a broken trace or wire on the motherboard, keyboard PCB, or keyboard cable? BTW, you'll get better and faster answers to questions like this on the mailing list - Jhoger 14:11, 12 March 2009 (PDT)
